Positive 2005 Buick Terraza car reviews
-
This is the first Buick I have ever owned and I am amazed at the ride and how quiet it is. It's just great driving. I had a Chevy Astro before.
-
I've had my Buick for almost two years now and I absolutely love it! The ride is so smooth and the interior is just fantastic. It's been very reliable and I haven't had any problems with it so far. It's also great for the kids as it's very roomy and perfect for traveling. The only downside is the gas mileage, which is about 15mpg in the city and not much more on the highway. The automatic sliding doors are very convenient, but sometimes they can unlatch when you hit a bump in the road, which can be a bit annoying. Overall, I have no regrets about buying this vehicle. I highly recommend it to all the moms out there looking for a great car!
-
I traded my Caravan in for this new Buick. The seats are very comfortable and the vehicle handles great. If you want comfort for your family, this is the vehicle for you. Check out the stow-go seats and then take a look at the Terraza. You'll see that there is no comparison to the quality. It's a fun vehicle to drive and it looks great too!
-
What a fantastic ride! It's solid, luxurious, and safe, with the added bonus of side air curtains. Plus, it's so quiet and confident on the road.
-
The Terraza is a fantastic ride. Although we did experience a computer K module issue, Buick promptly repaired it and even provided us with a Chevy Tahoe while the repairs were being done. During our family trip from Michigan to Florida and back, we thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and smooth ride.

This vehicle has had multiple issues, including problems with the radio (4 times), doors (difficulty getting in and out), noise from the front, flickering lights, falling door handles, a hatch falling on a child's head, and ABS and traction control lights coming on. Despite these issues, the dealer has been unable to find any problems. It is not recommended to purchase this van.

1) There is an oil leak between the transmission and engine. 2) The vehicle has had some electrical problems, including the alternator and battery being replaced due to dimming headlights and interior lights. 3) The radio was also replaced due to background noise, and a noise suppressor was added to the +12Volt line to address the issue with the DVD player. 4) The stability control module and 5) electronic brake module were both replaced. 6) The power window control module was replaced due to broken retaining clips. 7) Despite replacing the sliding door molding, wind noise is still present. 8) The ground effects are coming off and 9) there is something rolling around loose in the steering wheel. Most of these failures occurred by 16,000 miles, with the rest occurring before 30,000 miles. We advise against trusting this van!!

Terrible build quality, hard riding, and a noisy cabin make for a less than ideal driving experience. Additionally, the glove compartment is not up to par and the middle seats don't adjust far enough. While the engine may be underpowered, there are still some positives to consider. However, after test driving the Honda Odyssey, it's clear that it's the superior choice. If you're in the market for a new vehicle, I highly recommend giving the Honda a chance.

The Buick Terraza is essentially a re-packaged Oldsmobile Silhouette. Although they increased the horsepower by 15, it only results in a barely noticeable power increase. However, the ride is firmer and significantly quieter. The instrumentation is nicer than that of the Oldsmobile, with added chrome that is abundant throughout the vehicle. The overhead 'rail' system for storage and DVD is well done. The DVD screen is only 1 inch smaller than the Oldsmobile's, but it must be loaded at the screen, which could be a setback for those with small children. The split fold-down rear seat is a great addition, as is the option of XM radio. Unfortunately, the navigation system is not available at this time. The new nose is stylish, but it still doesn't quite pass for an SUV.

We purchased this van thanks to my wife's employee discount. However, we have found that the 3.5 engine lacks torque and struggles on small grades, requiring frequent downshifting. Legroom in the front is adequate for most people, but it may be a bit tight for taller individuals. Access to the third row is easy when the table is folded flat, but it may be a bit of a challenge for those with mobility issues. Unfortunately, the DVD screen blocks the back up warning lights, which is a design flaw that should have been addressed. The seat system is a bit outdated, and the headrests can obstruct the view out of the back window. Lastly, we were disappointed to find that the van depreciated by $13000 in just 11 months, making it difficult to trade. Overall, we have had some challenges with this van, but we are hopeful that future models will address these issues.
