2022 Toyota Venza hybrid problems
The Toyota Venza is a five-passenger mid-size crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by Toyota primarily for the North American market, beginning with its introduction in 2008 and now in its second generation — with a hiatus for model years 2018–2019.
The first-generation Venza was based on the XV40 series Camry platform and marketed between 2008 and 2017 — and shared the platform with the AL10 series Lexus RX. The second-generation model is a rebadged Japanese-market XU80 series Harrier and has been sold since September 2020.
The name "Venza" is a mix of "Venture" and "Monza."

Common 2022 Toyota Venza hybrid problems
Based on complaints from owners of the Toyota Venza Hybrid 2022, several common problems have been reported:
- Windshield Cracking and Visibility Problems:
Owners have reported issues with windshield cracking, which can occur due to impact damage, extreme temperature changes, or low-quality glass. Some owners have heard stones hitting their windscreen, while others claim that cracks appear spontaneously. This problem poses a significant risk as it obstructs visibility, potentially leading to safety concerns. - Fuel Gauge Problems:
The fuel and propulsion system of the 2021 Toyota Venza received criticism due to issues with the tank gauge not reading correctly. This can result in drivers being unaware of their remaining fuel level, risking running out of fuel unexpectedly, which can be dangerous. - Exterior Lighting Issues:
Some owners have complained about shadow or dark spots appearing when turning on the car's headlights at night. This issue makes driving in poorly lit areas challenging due to the dark spots that appear on both headlamps, affecting visibility and potentially compromising safety. - Seatbelt Malfunction:
Reports have surfaced regarding front passenger seatbelt failures to properly restrain occupants after a collision, leading to injuries. Despite claims of malfunction, the automaker refused a physical examination for the fault, providing minimal assurances of assistance to the affected owner. - Recall for Turn Signal Lights:
There is a recall related to the turn signal lights of the Toyota Venza Hybrid 2022. The rear turn signals and hazard lights may dim or fail due to a short circuit, reducing the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, which can increase the risk of accidents.
These problems highlight various safety and functionality concerns that owners of the Toyota Venza Hybrid 2022 have experienced. Addressing these issues promptly and effectively is crucial to ensure the safety and satisfaction of Venza owners.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-03-02
- VIN: JTEAAAAH0NJ
- Components: EXTERIOR LIGHTING
- Summary: I purchased my 2022 Venza two weeks ago. I am concerned with the safety of the headlights. When driving at night (especially in my rural area) there are shadows that are projected onto the road, trees, and shoulder of the road. They are very distracting and make you focus only on the shadows instead of the road. These shadows do disappear when the high beams are on, but continue to be an issue when the regular headlights are on. Toyota is well aware of the concerns but is unwilling to recall or change the design as these were an issue in the 2021 Venza and Sienna models. I have contacted my salesperson and the service department of two dealerships. One dealer dismissed my concerns and wasn't even willing to look at the lights. The dealership I purchased it from is willing to look, but basically said that's just the way the lights are. This is a HUGE safety issue and a complete design flaw. If I would have known of these lights, I would NOT have purchased this model.
