Mini Cooper clubman problems

The Mini Clubman is a subcompact executive car engineered and manufactured by German automaker BMW and sold under the Mini marque. The first-generation Clubman was introduced in 2007, as a variant of the Mini Hatch (Hardtop in the US). A commercial version called Clubvan was added to the range in 2012. The current second-generation model has been in production since 2015 and available with front- and all-wheel drive.
History
The use of the name "Clubman" is a departure from Mini tradition. "Clubman" was originally the name given to the 1970s facelift of the classic Mini, which mostly resulted in a squared-off front end, whereas the classic Mini estates had traditionally been named "Traveller" or "Countryman". However, BMW did not initially purchase the rights to use those names, and so decided to call its larger-variant "Clubman", a name which it did own rights to.
Sketches of a new estate version of the Mini were shown at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, and a rendering of the estate concept (internally named EXT), wore the Clubman name on the licence plate. The Clubman started out in development based on the first generation Mini Hatch (R50) before changing to the second gen Hatch (R56).

The Clubman is an excellent car that offers a fun and practical driving experience. It handles snow really well in Toronto, even with stock run-flats. The road feel is great, just the way a performance car should be. It comfortably fits a car seat for my daughter at the back with one other person. While the steering is direct and the suspension is stiff, it's a small price to pay for the thrill of driving this car. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, fun-to-drive car, the Clubman is definitely worth considering.

It's great to hear about your positive experience with MINI's! It sounds like you've had a lot of fun with pretty much every model you've owned. Your MINI Clubman, which you leased, seems to be a particularly versatile car, with its automatic transmission, AC, cruise, and bluetooth. It's impressive that you're getting 41.6 MPG at a steady 72-75 MPH! The 3rd door is also a really convenient feature that allows easy access to the rear seat for passengers or pets. It's amazing that you were able to fit over 30 bags of dirt in the car for your garden, or take your 3 pets and half your household to your vacation home for the summer. The Clubman really seems to hold it all and still provide comfortable driving for long distances. Thank you for sharing your love for it with us!

This is a really practical car with excellent power and handling. You'll receive compliments often, although you might prefer something other than 'cute'. The car delivered everything you could want when you bought it and it's really fun to drive. In 2017, you updated to a new Giulia TI, but you already miss your Mini. In 2018, the Giulia is still fun, but it's probably a little big for you. Maybe there's another Mini in your future?

If you're in the market for a car that can comfortably seat four adults while still providing a sporty driving experience, the options can be quite limited. After considering several competing small cars, we found that none of them could match the Mini in terms of looks, performance, or driving experience. Even the base-engined Clubman with the 6-speed transmission provides more than enough power for everyday driving, while still delivering a punch when you want to have some fun. The engine is both tractable and predictable, making high-speed driving effortless thanks to its good mid-range torque. The car's handling and power remain unaffected by wind, and the interior is also very comfortable. Everyone who rides in the car is pleasantly surprised by its power, comfort, features, and quality. Overall, the Mini is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and practical car that can do it all.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with you. So, I was in a bit of a pickle when the family minivan started showing its age and the kids were driving themselves. With gas prices skyrocketing to $4/gal, I knew I needed something more fuel-efficient. We ended up getting a Camry Hybrid, which was great for gas mileage but a bit boring. I wanted something more fun, but the Prius just wasn't cutting it. That's when I discovered the Clubman! It had the perfect size I needed, and the fuel mileage and fun factor I was looking for. I'm currently getting 36 mpg overall and 42 on the highway, which is amazing! Although I probably should have bought the

I had a fire engine red, 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman that I loved until it started having numerous mechanical issues such as timing chain, brakes, battery, and spark plugs causing the cylinders to miss fire. Additionally, I had to purchase new tires within two months of buying the car with only 25k on it, and had to fix the driver's side and sunroof's window seals. Unfortunately, I did not expect nor anticipate the cost to repair all of these issues, which amounted to around $4000. By the time it hit 42K, I had to fix all of these things. I am disappointed in Mini for charging exuberant amounts for parts and labor. It's not a reliable vehicle at all. :-(

I've had pickups of various sizes and even really enjoyed the Toyota FJ, but when I was putting a tank of fuel a day through it, I had to make a change. With the flat rear deck, I can get two dog kennels, gear, and my hunting buddy in it, and hunt all day on peanuts. The ground clearance, ride, and slippery conditions limit its access, but it sure is great to get around in. I actually got 1000kms to a tank once.

I own a 2011 Mini Clubman S. Although I have had some issues with the car, I believe that with proper maintenance and care, it can be a reliable vehicle. Some of the issues I have experienced include the fuel pump breaking shortly after purchase, the airbag system needing repairs multiple times, and the water pump and oil pump solenoid failing. Additionally, the rear cargo 12v outlet came apart and the runflat front tires needed replacement at 12,000 miles. However, I am confident that these issues can be resolved with the help of a knowledgeable mechanic. Despite some initial rattles and difficulty using the radio controls, I still enjoy driving my Mini Clubman and appreciate its unique design and features.

I recently purchased a new Mini with an automatic transmission. However, I have noticed that there is some hesitation when accelerating from a stop. Additionally, the tire pressure sensor has given me some false alarms, and the dealership has suggested filling the tires with nitrogen for a fee. It is important to be cautious when placing items on the backseat floor as the runners that slide the seats are sharp and exposed. I had an incident where a 2L soda bottle was punctured and got under the carpet. The dealership quoted me $900 to dry it out, but I was able to get it done by my auto body guy for $300. Overall, I would recommend exploring other options before making a purchase.

This car is a blast to drive around town! However, it can be a bit noisy on the highway. Unfortunately, I have had some issues with repairs. It seems like everything that could go wrong with this car has gone wrong. But the good news is that there are plenty of videos and instructions available online to help you fix these issues yourself. This is because many people have experienced similar problems and don't want to pay the high Mini Cooper repair costs. Overall, the combination of BMW engineering and British craftsmanship makes for a unique car that requires some extra care and attention.
