Common Lexus Tx problems
Based on the complaints from owners of the Lexus TX cars, some common problems reported include:
- Build Quality Concerns: Some owners have expressed dissatisfaction with the build quality of the Lexus TX, especially in the first-year models. Reports mention small imperfections, paint bubbles on trim pieces, and an overall lack of confidence-inspiring build quality. This can be a significant concern for owners looking for a premium experience from a luxury brand like Lexus.
- Sensor Problems: Sensor issues have been highlighted by owners, particularly related to dashboard sensor lights and computer-driven components. Older Lexus models have faced challenges with sensors like the O2 sensor and check engine lights, which can intermittently turn on or off without a clear reason. Newer models may also experience problems with parking assistance sensors. While sensor issues are generally easy to fix, they can still be a source of frustration for owners.
- Drivetrain Problems: Lexus vehicles with automatic transmissions have been reported to encounter drivetrain issues. While new Lexus cars come with a drivetrain warranty, problems with this component can still arise and affect the vehicle's performance. Drivetrain issues are common in Lexus vehicles and can be a costly problem to address, especially as the car ages.
- Oil Leaks: Another common problem faced by Lexus car owners is oil leakage. This issue may not manifest until the vehicle reaches higher mileage, but it can lead to significant repair costs. Regularly servicing the oil gaskets in the engine is crucial to prevent oil leaks and maintain the vehicle's performance.
- Audio System Malfunctions: Some Lexus owners have reported issues with the car's audio system, such as no sound coming from the speakers, distorted or crackling sound, and Bluetooth connectivity problems. These audio system malfunctions can impact the overall driving experience and require troubleshooting steps like checking the mute function, adjusting volume levels, inspecting wiring, and updating software for Bluetooth connectivity.
By addressing these common problems faced by Lexus TX owners, it provides valuable insights for potential buyers and current owners to be aware of these issues and take necessary precautions or seek professional assistance to resolve them effectively.
