- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2005-2014 Mustang, 2004-2011 Ranger, 2009-2011 Mercury Milan, 2006 Ford GT, 2008-2012 Fusion, 2007-2010 Edge and Lincoln MKX, and 2009-2010 Lincoln MKZ vehicles. These vehicles may be equipped with a driver or passenger frontal air bag inflator used as a replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the frontal air bag, an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driver and passenger air bag module, and replace either the module or the inflator, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 17, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S05.

- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver side air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on June 10, 2016. Even if interim repairs were performed under safety recall 14V-802, owners must bring their vehicles in for the final remedy. - Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflators in all affected vehicles, free of charge. The recall began January 30, 2015. This car is truly amazing! The acceleration is lightning fast - I clocked 0-60 in just 3.34 seconds! The handling is fantastic and the ride is great, especially for a vehicle of this caliber. The build quality is top-notch and the engine runs incredibly smoothly. I've already driven mine for just over 17,000 miles and I haven't had any reliability problems with it. It's sure-footed in normal driving and a beast when you boost up the speed. It stops with the best of them and is very user-friendly. Plus, with a price much lower than other cars in this class, the competition doesn't stand a chance. It's a home run for Ford! To all you people who thought Ford couldn't compete, look who's getting the last laugh now!

The lower mile GT's will likely command a higher resale value as they are becoming collectors' items. Based on current selling prices, your estimates for these cars in August 2016 seem to be 50-90K below market value. It is unlikely that many 05-06 GT's will sell for under 200K unless they have a 'salvaged title.' The lower mile GT's can fetch prices of 300K or more. Due to challenging rear visibility, a backup camera is mandatory. The performance and reliability of this car are unsurpassed, making it a true masterpiece of the Ford Motor Company!

This car is really nice! I think it's exactly what Ford needed to put out. It will be a great competitor to the Corvette, but maybe not quite as good as the Viper.

The car is incredibly fast and handles like a race car. Despite its tendency to fishtail if pushed, it remains very controllable at all speeds. It also boasts impressive fuel efficiency, achieving over 20 mpg at highway speeds of approximately 85 mph. Living in AZ, we've found that at 85 in 6th gear, it's turning 2000 rpm. The power delivery is very smooth with lots of torque, allowing it to accelerate in any gear from just over 1000 rpm. While it may be a little difficult to get in and out of, once inside, it's an absolute pleasure to drive at any speed and feels like a true rocket ship.

Although this car is undoubtedly a powerhouse, it may not have the same level of build quality and interior amenities as some of its German and Italian competitors. Additionally, the new 2006 Corvette with its 7.0L of displacement may offer similar performance at a lower price point.
