For 2011, GM reintroduced the Regal to North America, rebranding the Insignia sedan for North America. For 2018, Buick introduced the second-generation Opel Insignia, sourcing all production from Germany; alongside a first-ever liftback sedan, the Regal TourX was the first Buick station wagon in 22 years.
After 2020, as the division shifted away from car model lines, Buick ended sales of the Regal in North America.

I have been reading about it and it is common among this vehicle, many complaining that this is the worst rear collision camera on a car. The screen is just black, sometimes with grid lines and sometimes without. On the rare occasion the camera turns on the grid lines often disappear although they are not turned off.

Great to hear that you are enjoying your new car! It sounds like it has a lot of great features, such as excellent handling, steering, brakes, and ride comfort. The engine and transmission are also smooth and quiet, and the optional LED headlights are fantastic for lighting up the road at night. Plus, it's wonderful that you were able to get such a great deal on the car with the standard 4 year bumper to bumper warranty. However, it's a shame that the upgraded stereo package means there's no spare tire or jack, and that the infotainment system can be a bit finicky with CarPlay. Additionally, it would be nice if heated seats were a standard feature, especially for a car with a $37,000 list price. Nonetheless, the $10,000 off list price definitely helps make up for any shortcomings. Happy driving!

I recently traded in my 2015 GMC Acadia for a Buick wagon and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. The car has a lot of room inside and the engine has great pick up while still being economical. In fact, I am getting 28.3 MPG combined in the first 1500 miles! The interior is comfortable and has a sporty feel to it. Although the ground clearance is a little lower than what is usually desired in a car like this, the stance makes it appear very sporty. The 2.0L 4cyl does a great job in acceleration and has plenty of pickup. The 8 spd transmission is nice for econ, but sometimes at slow speeds it shifts around a bit too much trying to find the right gear. The infotainment touchscreen and Car Play are very nice and handy. Overall, I am loving the car. I wish Buick would have advertised it a bit more as it slides into a nice space between those that want a Subaru Outback and those that want a sporty Audi Allroad or Volvo. Definitely worth finding one and going for a drive in one!

While you mentioned that you're not a huge fan of the rear end design, the rest of the car more than makes up for it. The exterior is sleek and could easily be mistaken for a Mercedes or BMW. The LTG 2.0L turbo engine is a true gem and a significant improvement over previous four-cylinder engines you've owned. The transmission is geared for fuel economy, but you can use the manual mode if you want to drive more spiritedly. The AWD system works imperceptibly, making it easy to stoplight drag race in the rain. The car handles extremely well for its size while maintaining a smooth ride. However, there is not much center console storage, which may be an issue for some. Additionally, the blind spot monitor does not have an audible alert when attempting to change lanes with a car beside you, which defeats the purpose of BSM. Overall, this car is a dream to drive and handles exceptionally well.Is it just me or is there no ventilated seat option on a 2018 with black leather? That seems like a terrible omission. Additionally, I found it odd that a highly equipped 2018 vehicle doesn't have front parking sensors or a camera. The huge sunroof glass over my head has some creaking at slow speeds or on rough pavement, but turning up the radio solves that issue. The start/stop system can be very annoying at times, shutting down the engine anytime you come to a stop, even if it's just for a few seconds. I wish there was a way to be more selective about when it shuts down. Selecting manual transmission mode defeats it, but it can be a chore to remember. On the bright side, the 2.0L LTG engine is great, although it's known for leaking oil at the bottom of the timing chain cover, even on new cars. Mine seeps a bit, but so far no drips. I suspect it's been that way for a long time and hopefully won't get worse. Special mention goes to the LED headlights, which are AWESOME and illuminate the road in all conditions better than anything I've ever driven. In conclusion, I'm super glad I bought this car and have zero regrets. I've put about 3K on it since owning it and it's definitely my favorite for a comfortable commute.

I bought a 2018 Regal TourX Preferred as new from a Buick dealer in February 2020 and I'm thrilled with it so far! Although I planned to drive it a lot in the past year, I've only put 8k miles on the car. The car gets 27 mpg in town and well over 30 at 70 mph on the highway. The front driver's seat is incredibly comfortable, the controls are ergonomic and work well, the back seat has tons of leg room, the cargo area is large and easily accessible, the Bose sound system is fantastic, the car is very quiet, and the additional options are great (the tailgate opening with a foot wave, the cross-traffic warning, leather seats, etc.). I do have two minor issues with the car. Firstly, the interior bits seem to be a bit less durable than I would like, and I question whether the interior will hold up as well as some other cars in this class. Time will tell. Secondly, the two cupholders in front of the shifter are a bit inaccessible and are small. However, I can live with that. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and I intend to keep it for as long as possible - especially since they aren't making them anymore!

I hope you're doing well! We rented the UK version of this car, so unfortunately I can't speak to the US version in terms of engine. However, the rental used a diesel engine that ran great and got fantastic mileage. I had never even heard of Vauxhall and was looking for information on this car here when I found out it was the same basic car. We drove all over the highlands, including narrow winding roads at highway speeds, small towns, and some city driving. I must say, this is one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven. It handles really well on windy roads, and the parking aides and sensors were really useful as this is a big car for a lot of UK spaces. The passenger space is really roomy and comfortable, and the storage space is incredible. I wouldn't buy it without test driving the US engine, but everything else is top notch. I've seen reviews try to compare it to Subaru wagons, but I must say that it's not an off-road vehicle. However, it's a much nicer drive for anywhere else. Thank you for reading!

I had the pleasure of driving the Opel Tourx in Europe as my company car for several months and was thoroughly impressed with its quality, performance, and quietness. When I learned that it would be available in the US, I eagerly ordered one with every option. Unfortunately, upon receiving the car, I experienced some issues such as a loose door panel, a tailgate sensor hanging down, and a noisy cabin. However, the dealership was quick to address these issues and had the car for a week to correct them. Although the cabin noise level was still not to my liking, the dealership and Buick customer service assured me that it was within the normal range. While I ultimately decided to purchase a different vehicle with a quieter cabin, I appreciate the efforts of the dealership to address my concerns. I have no doubt that GM is committed to producing high-quality vehicles and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

At 795 miles, the service engine soon light came on. The dealership was unable to locate the vacuum leak and reset the computer. At 1135 miles, the light came on again. The dealership was able to locate the leak and replace the necessary part. Unfortunately, at 1350 miles, the light came on again. I will be taking it back today and expressing my concerns to the management. It is disappointing that the car has been experiencing these issues, but I am hopeful that the dealership will be able to resolve them soon.
