If the dashboard is damaged and has to be replaced then the customer is faced with a more than $1000 repair job therefore the customer must choose between feeding and caring for their family or risking the passenger being seriously injured or killed due to the faulty airbag issue. GM should stand behind the decision they made to use cheap plastic for their dashboards on this vehicle instead of punishing their customers and costing them more money or risking injury or death to passengers.
