I purchased my 95 Aspire in 1997 with only 11,000 original miles on it. Despite its lack of luxury, I was pleasantly surprised by the ample space it provided. Its greatest attribute, however, was its unwavering reliability. It successfully navigated me through blizzards, hail storms, and city traffic alike. Although my son recently sent me a photo of the Aspire before taking it to the UPULLIT lot, I remain confident in its longevity. Long may it run!

I was lucky enough to purchase my Aspire from a cousin who finally relented after I had been bugging him for a while. The car has been a work of love for me as I have practically rebuilt it. I really like the styling and the gas mileage is fantastic, averaging 32mpg. It's a 5 spd with AC and I have even achieved 41 MPG by not running the AC and keeping speed to 55mph. The mechanics of this car are simple and it's easy to work on when necessary, making it an extremely reliable car. During the 'gas rush' of Katrina, I don't know what I would have done without it! I really wish Ford would bring this car back, just the way it is!

It may not look like much, but it keeps going and going! You never have to worry in the morning if it is going to turn over. It's very dependable and reliable. It may not have any frills, but it gets the job done.

I had a Ford Aspire with a five-speed transmission that got around 39-40 mpg. It was peppy in the city and adequate on the highway, and I found it to be a fun car to drive. If you're looking to save on gas, I would definitely recommend it!

In my experience, the Ford Aspire did not meet my expectations. The engine and trans casing were the same as the '88-'89 Mercury Tracer, but with less displacement. Unfortunately, the under-engineering made it perform poorly. The transmission shifted poorly and the engine required a lot of acceleration just to move. Additionally, the lack of sound insulation and cheap exhaust heat shields made it difficult to enjoy music while driving over 35mph. Despite being lighter and less well-equipped than my '88 Tracer, it also got worse gas mileage and had stability issues in the snow. I had some scary moments when the car suddenly spun out while driving straight ahead at 30mph. Overall, in my opinion, the Ford Aspire did not live up to its name and failed to be a reliable car.

This is a friendly little car. It has great gas mileage (40mpg) and has been super reliable since I bought it used. I haven't had any problems with it and haven't had to replace anything except for the tires and wipers. It handles well and has good power and brakes. It may look a bit funny from the outside (my wife calls it an egg with wheels), but it's surprisingly roomy and comfortable on the inside.

I have owned this car for 5 years and have had to replace the exhaust, fuel pump, ignition, and speedometer before reaching 90k miles. Unfortunately, the AC stopped working at 32k miles and the speedometer broke shortly after. Despite my disappointment, I have continued to drive the car without AC for the past 5 years. The MPG is 35 in the city and 40 on the highway, which is much lower than expected. However, I still believe that this car is a good choice, although I have found the Metro to be a much better option.

I'm so glad you're considering this car! It's been a reliable ride for me for the past 5 years with no mechanical issues. With regular maintenance, it's been running smoothly. It gets great gas mileage, especially on the highway, where it can reach up to 36 miles per gallon. In the city, it still gets a respectable 28 miles per gallon, although using the air conditioning can lower that number. While it may not be the most attractive car out there and doesn't have power steering, it's a great option if you're looking to avoid high car payments and want a car that always starts.

This car started out well but has ended up being very expensive. Unfortunately, most parts are not available locally and every time something needs to be fixed, the parts must be ordered and are not cheap. Even my brakes alone cost $800. The clutch continually has problems and the keys break often. It can be frustrating, but I'm determined to keep it running. I've had some interesting reactions from Ford people when I pull up to the dealership, but I'm still proud of my car.
