Common 2019 Dodge Charger problems
The 2019 Dodge Charger has various common problems that owners have reported, including issues with the stereo system, freezing, a stability control warning light, and rattling noises from the suspension.
One of the most widespread complaints from 2019 Dodge Charger owners within the first 1,000 miles is the stereo system freezing. This issue is typically due to software problems and can be resolved with software updates. Most dealers will install these updates for free, while others may charge around $50 for labor.
Another problem reported by some 2019 Charger owners within the first 10,000 miles is a stability control warning light. This warning light can indicate that the car is losing traction, or it could be a sign of an issue with the sensor. Diagnosing the problem costs around $50, while fixing it can cost about $200.
Rattling noises from the suspension are another problem mentioned by Charger owners at roughly 35,000 miles. Suspension components wear out as the car ages, and will have to be replaced. Changing out the shocks costs around $600 for original parts, or there are high-performance aftermarket parts which cost over $1,000.
There are four recalls on the 2019 Dodge Charger, which is similar to other cars from the same year. The most serious recall is for the backup camera not working, and Dodge will update the software on affected models for free. Other recalls include the sun visors, dash lights, and front tires, and Dodge will repair and replace all of those for free on affected models.

- Summary: I own a 2019 Dodge Charger, and it has an open recall for the airbag inflator, which poses a serious safety risk. Despite the recall being issued over six months ago, replacement parts are still unavailable. Due to this safety concern, I am unable to drive my vehicle far from home, significantly impacting my usage. Additionally, I used to rent this vehicle on Turo to generate income, but it has been delisted from the platform because of the unresolved recall. I am still responsible for monthly loan payments of $420 and insurance payments of over $400 every month which is causing me financial loss without the ability to safely operate or rent out my car. I have contacted dealerships multiple times, but the parts continue to be delayed with no estimated resolution.

Congratulations on your recent purchase of a used 2019 Charger GT! It sounds like you got a great deal at $24,000, especially considering that others were going for $28,000 with the same options. While the GT may not be as quick as the RT, it certainly has its advantages, such as better fuel efficiency and cheaper insurance. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the way it handles and that there are plenty of performance upgrades available for it. If anyone is in the market for a new car, I highly recommend giving the GT a look. You won't be disappointed!

I love this car! It's so fast and so much fun to drive. It's a great 4-door muscle car! The only downside is that it can be a bit tricky to handle on wet roads. Whenever there's even a little bit of rain, it starts skidding. This is because it's rear-wheel drive and has a lot of power in the front. But overall, it's a fantastic car!

This vehicle is very agile, smooth, and powerful. Awesome!

We traded in our low-mileage '15 Challenger SXT Plus for our '18 SXT Plus Leather Charger after our grandson was born, as we needed a four-door vehicle. It was quite a challenge to find one in B5 blue with no sunroof, but it was definitely worth the search. The car is absolutely gorgeous and the ride and handling are excellent. The V6 engine provides a great balance of power and economy. Although the rear visibility is not as good as in some other cars, we are extremely happy with our purchase. We had an Impala as a service loaner for a day and were quite impressed with it, but once we tried out the Charger, the Impala was no longer in contention. As of late February 2023, we have owned the car for about four and a half years and we are still very happy with it. We did have an issue with the radio screen delaminating, but it was replaced under warranty and other than that, the car has been trouble-free. It's now February 2024 and we have recently traded the Charger towards the purchase of a Durango. Other than the radio being replaced under warranty, the only

I strongly advise against this product. It has caused nothing but problems. Fortunately, I am leasing and will be returning it next year. I highly discourage anyone from purchasing it. It is not worth the money.

I recently purchased this car brand new and overall, I am quite pleased with it. The interior is spacious and the stereo system is fantastic. The car also has great power and acceleration when needed. However, I have noticed that the door panels on all doors are peeling back from the window, which is disappointing. Unfortunately, there is no warranty or recall to fix this issue. While I understand that this is frustrating, I believe that Dodge is still a reputable brand and I would consider purchasing from them again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

I drove a Charger rental, which I believe was the 'SXT' trim. Although the trim wasn't displayed on the vehicle or in the manual, I was impressed with its features. However, the vehicle's handling felt a bit sluggish, which may be due to its weight or the difference between my FWD Civic and a RWD Charger. Despite this, I found the car to be very good-looking and would love to own one in the future. Unfortunately, I experienced some mechanical issues while driving it. While driving my girlfriend home, I received a message in the dash to service the 'Traction Stability Control', which then changed to 'Service Trans' with confusing instructions for stopping the car. The acceleration changed drastically, making it difficult to move the car from a complete stop. I pulled off at a gas station and turned the car off, but it was telling me that it wasn't in park and I couldn't shift to reverse. I had to get a ride home since the car was practically immobile. As someone who has had zero engine problems with my Civic, I was extremely disappointed. I don't think I'll be driving a Charger again unless it's another rental that isn't my problem when it decides to break down. It's great that you're into cool-looking cars! However, I personally don't trust Chargers or Dodge anymore. I haven't had the chance to drive Jeeps or Chrystlers, but did you know they're under the same parent company? In the future, I'll stick to Honda since I've had great experiences with their reliable cars.
Fletcher Bergstrom 2024-03-24
The car's weight seems to have affected its performance, with only 305 hp. However, the V6 engine can still achieve 27 mpg if driven carefully. The fit and finish of the car is almost perfect, but there is one issue that needs to be addressed. The electric power steering unit is located too low and can be easily damaged by small branches or road debris, which can render the car unsteerable. Unfortunately, there is no skid plate available to protect it. It is also disappointing that Dodge is going all-electric, without considering the public's desire or the future price of electricity. On a positive note, the Kia is a great alternative to consider.

I purchased a Dodge Charger about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have experienced some issues with the vehicle, such as the panels under the car coming off. Despite this, I am confident that the issue can be resolved. Although the warranty does not cover this particular issue, I am working with the dealership to find a solution. I have heard some negative things about Dodge in the past, but I am optimistic that this issue can be resolved. Thank you for your understanding.
