Toyota Australia and Toyota New Zealand resisted suggestions from Toyota Japan to adopt the new European Auris name for the Corolla.
The Japanese model went on sale at Netz dealerships on 23 October 2006, while European models went on sale in early 2007. The second generation was later available at Toyopet Store dealerships from 18 April 2016.

FROM PERSONAL USE I KNOW THAT STYRFOAM IS MAINLY USED TO KEEP LIQUIDS THAT ARE EITHER HOT OR COLD AT THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE.

Good little car, love it! It's a 2018 red model. However, the paint seems to be chipping very easily, which is disappointing. The quality of the paint job is not up to par. Despite this issue, the vehicle is very good. I would give it 4 stars out of 5, deducting one star for the exterior paint.

Great front leg room for someone who's six feet tall! The CVT makes a strange growl in reverse, but otherwise does a fine job. It could use a bit more power, but it won't disappoint you. I absolutely love this car and I'm sure you will too, unless you're looking for something with high performance.

I was looking forward to checking out the Corolla, but I was immediately put off by the misplaced design across the dash and the absence of a CD player. Some of us still prefer CDs and don't want to be forced to buy an expensive iPhone just to enjoy some music. Additionally, what about audiobooks for those long trips? Not everyone wants to conform to the latest trend, and there's no need to fix what isn't broken. Anyway, I'll be looking for something else. Take care!

I recently purchased a new car with a 6-speed manual transmission. After test driving several cars from different manufacturers, I decided to follow my wife's good experience with her Corolla and make the purchase. Although I appreciate the car's hatchback, basic interior, and reasonable road holding, I have had a difficult time driving it. As someone with a CDL license and experience driving many different types of vehicles, I have found this car to have some serious flaws with the manual transmission and fuel programming that have made it dangerous for me to drive. For example, the car has an unstable idle at red lights, which can cause it to stall when trying to take off. Additionally, there is a hesitation off of idle that makes it difficult to feel for clutch engagement when starting from a stop. The fuel management is also flawed when accelerating beyond 3800 RPMs, causing the idle to hang at that RPM and making it difficult to shift gears smoothly. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the dealership, they downplayed the problems and claimed that the car runs the same as others on the lot. I hope that these issues can be resolved soon, as I am concerned for my safety while driving this car.The car has only done 3k and is not even broken in yet. While some have noted that the engine is low powered, I did not buy it as a sports car. The brakes are a bit spongy, but the dealership has assured me that everything is fine compared to other cars. In hindsight, I regret purchasing this vehicle as I am unable to solve the fuel programming and idle issues on my own, and the clutch and transmission may have a short lifespan due to Toyota's design.

Additionally, the throttle is laggy with rev hang, which can make starting off a bit tricky. Shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gears can be jerky, and it feels like I need to be back on the gas before releasing the clutch. When the car warms up, it idles at 500 RPM and shakes a bit, but giving it some gas helps. Despite these challenges, the car gets good gas mileage and is likely to last a long time.

The sticker says 28 city- 37 hwy- 31 combined, but I've found that the actual fuel efficiency is lower. I've been getting around 23.5 mpg, which is a bit disappointing. Additionally, I've noticed that the cabin can be quite noisy. It would have been nice if the factory had invested a bit more in sound deadening. As someone who has owned 4 Toyotas, I have to say that this one has been a bit of a letdown.
