The Subaru Tribeca is a mid-size crossover SUV made from 2005 to 2014. Released in some markets, including Canada, as the Subaru B9 Tribeca, the car derives its name from the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City. Built on the Subaru Legacy platform and sold in five- and seven-seat configurations, the Tribeca was intended to be sold alongside a slightly revised version known as the Saab 9-6X. Saab, at the time a subsidiary of General Motors (GM), abandoned the 9-6X program just prior to its release subsequent to GM's 2005 divestiture of its 20 percent stake in FHI.
Inspired by the B9X concept car, the Tribeca's original design was criticized at launch and subsequently revised in 2007 for the 2008 model year, and the model name was shortened to simply Tribeca in all markets.
Although not sold in Japan, North American markets received the Tribeca in 2005 for the 2006 model year, and it was introduced to Australasia and Europe in late 2006. In addition to these markets, the Tribeca was also sold in South America, South Africa, China, the Middle East, and parts of Southeast Asia.

This is our first Subaru and we absolutely love it! We initially got this vehicle for my wife due to its safety features, but it has exceeded our expectations. It's a luxurious car that comes at an affordable price. We highly recommend it! The low end torque is great, although it could be a little more responsive on the highway. It handles corners without any leaning and we can't wait to put the AWD to the test. The interior is top-notch and extremely comfortable, even for back seat passengers. However, the 3rd row is not very spacious, which is why we opted for the 5 passenger version. We chose this car over other models such as X3, Murano, Highland, CR-V and CX-7.

In terms of value, the B9 beats out the Lexus and Acura. Your recommendation was so convincing that two of your friends ended up buying B9s after test driving them. Anyone in the luxury or near luxury SUV market should definitely consider taking a look at the B9.

Before I purchased this car, I read many negative reviews about its exterior design online. However, I personally believe that its high-tech exterior looks much better than the 2008 model and is completely different from other SUVs, which I love. The interior is amazing and built with excellent materials. The driving experience is smooth, like a luxury sedan, unlike many other SUVs such as the Murano, which can feel like driving a truck. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient car, it is stable and powerful. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed driving it and everyone who sees it loves it. I have yet to find someone who dislikes the design, and I am still looking!

I recently traded in my late model Nissan for a year-old Tribeca with only 9,000 miles on it. I must say, this vehicle is a real gem! It was an unbelievable value for what I got. The Limited trim line, with its mesh grille and big chrome wheels, really sets this vehicle apart from the rest of the pack. The overall fit and finish is superb and quite attractive. The handling is excellent and the responsive boxer 6 cyl engine gives me a sense of confidence. Although this is my first Subaru, I have family members who've owned several Outbacks and a Legacy GT, and I can see why they rave about this often overlooked brand! I do wonder what Subaru's service department is like, but I'm hopeful it's better than Nissan's!

Our car was purchased with 12,000 miles on it. Although it may not have as much power as some other cars on the market, we are confident in its performance. The transmission may have some issues with shifting, but we are taking steps to address this. Additionally, while the navigation system may not have the best graphics, it still provides reliable directions.

Overall, I think it's a good car, but it's not very roomy in the back and the third row is only suitable for small children. The handling ability in the snow is fantastic! However, I've had a few issues with the wiper blades. Even after having them replaced, they still don't clear the snow effectively, especially on the passenger side. It's frustrating because it defeats the purpose of having an AWD vehicle if you can't see where you're going. Despite these issues, I still think it's a good car.

The car may not be as fun to drive as the manual shift Outback and it may be slow to get going from a stop, but it has a nice interior styling. Although it is a six cylinder car, it may not have the same zippy pick-up as your 11 year old Outback with only four cylinders. Additionally, the car has a noisy engine rev which may make it seem like an effort for the car to get going. It is worth noting that everything is electronic, including odometer, and it may consume more gas than expected.

I purchased this car 3 years ago, it's a 2007 model and now 7 years old. Recently, the check engine light came on, so I contacted the dealership and took it straight over. They informed me that the right front axle had a crack, the mass air flow sensor was bad, and the K N G filter I had in my car had trapped oil and damaged the sensor. Long story short, we paid $1253 to have the work done, but just 2 days later, the same issue occurred again. Now they claim that the sensor may be bad, so I dropped it off and today they said the engine is running lean and they have to figure out why. However, when they claimed to have fixed it, they never mentioned the engine running lean. It's frustrating to feel like customers are being ripped off. On a separate note, the navigation system went out as well.
