2014 Nissan Nv3500 problems
The Nissan NV (Nissan Van) is a full-size van produced by Nissan from 2011 to 2021. It was developed and marketed for the United States and Canada, where Nissan had not previously been present in the full-size segment. Until the introduction of the Nissan NV, Mexico was the only country in North America selling a full-size Nissan van, as the Nissan Urvan was sold there.
The NV nameplate was previously used by a small pickup truck sold in Thailand.
Development
The NV used the same F-Alpha platform as does the Nissan Titan full-size pickup, but due to the need for a flat loading floor it is highly modified and they end up sharing mainly powertrain pieces and some of the design language. The NV was also only available with rear-wheel drive, coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission (later also a seven-speed). The NV was not targeted directly at the (mainly fleet) buyers of the Ford E-Series and Chevrolet Express, but rather at private buyers including contractors and small business owners who are looking for a vehicle that is both capable and comfortable.
The 4.0-litre V6 engine outputs 261 hp (195 kW) and 281 lb⋅ft (381 N⋅m) of torque, while the 5.6-litre V8 engine outputs 375 hp (280 kW) and 387 lb⋅ft (525 N⋅m) of torque. The V8-engined versions are also electronically limited to a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h).

Common 2014 Nissan Nv3500 problems
The Nissan NV3500 is a commercial van that has been on the market for several years. While the NV3500 is generally regarded as a reliable vehicle, there are some common problems that have been reported by owners of the 2014 model.
One of the most significant issues reported by owners of the 2014 Nissan NV3500 is engine problems. In addition to engine problems, the 2014 Nissan NV3500 has also been subject to recalls due to seat belt issues. According to a report by CarComplaints.com, Nissan recalled its 2014 NV passenger vans and Frontier Crew Cab trucks due to seat belt problems. The report notes that over 1,300 model year 2014 Frontier Crew Cab trucks have seat belts that might not hold a passenger in a crash due to a seat belt anchor bolt that might not be properly attached. The report also notes that 594 model year 2014 NV passenger vans equipped with specific seat belt retractors made by Faurecia Automotive Systems have been recalled due to loose or missing bolts on the retractors.
The 2014 Nissan NV3500 has also been reported to have problems with leaks, the braking system, electrical issues, and a lack of enough cargo space. These issues are common across all years of the Nissan NV Cargo, but they are most common in the least reliable selections.

- Summary: THE REAR AC BLOWER MOTOR DIED FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN A YEAR. THIS PASSENGER VEHICLE IS THE ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION FOR MY FAMILY WITH 7 SMALL CHILDREN RANGING IN AGE FROM 10 MONTHS TO 11 YEARS OLD. YESTERDAY AND TODAY, THE TEMPERATURE IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE HAS REACHED 104 DEGREES INSIDE (86 DEGREES OUTSIDE) WHILE THE AC IS RUNNING ON ITS HIGHEST SETTING IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSAN. THEIR AUTO TECH SAID EVERYONE WHO PURCHASES THIS VEHICLE COMES BACK WITHIN A COUPLE OF YEARS TO HAVE THIS PART REPLACED. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE RECOMMENDED THAT I CONTACT YOU TO FILE A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL UNLESS THEY ARE DIRECTED TO DO SO BY YOU. PLEASE HELP FAMILIES LIKE MINE. HOT VEHICLES ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN. PLEASE DO NOT LET SOMEONE LOSE A CHILD BECAUSE OF A FAULTY PART THAT NISSAN AND THE NHTSA KNOWS ABOUT BUT REFUSES TO RECALL. *TR

- Date Of Incident: 2016-08-03
- VIN: 3N6CM0KN1EK
- Components: VISIBILITY/WIPER
- Summary: 1) SIDE MIRRORS DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE VIEW. AT NIGHT, MULTIPLE IMAGES OF HEADLIGHTS MAKE IT VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE WHERE OTHER VEHICLES ARE LOCATED. 2) SUN VISOR IS TOO SHORT TO BLOCK SUN FROM DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW EVEN WITH THE SEAT PULLED ALL THE WAY FORWARD. (I TRIED MAKING ADJUSTMENTS AND THEN THOUGHT I MIGHT GET USED TO IT BUT AFTER DRIVING FOR SIX MONTHS THESE DEFICIENCIES CONTINUE TO BE A HAZARD.)
UNKNOWN OR OTHER PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2014-03-31
- VIN: 58ZAFOAA5EN
- Components: UNKNOWN OR OTHER
- Summary: THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH DASH LIGHTS REFLECTING ON THE DRIVER LEFT SIDE WINDOW THAT INTERFERE WITH THE ABILITY TO SEE IMAGES IN THE LEFT DRIVER SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR AT NIGHT. TURNING DOWN THE INTENSITY OF THE DASH LIGHTS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PROBLEM. ONLY TOTALLY DIMMING THE DASH LIGHTS REMOVE THE REFLECTION. THEN THE INSTRUMENT LIGHTS CANNOT BE SEEN. THIS PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR WITH THE 2003 SPRINTER VAN THAT I PREVIOUSLY DROVE. I WOULD HOPE NISSAN CAN DEVELOP A CORRECTION. THIS CONDITION IS A MAJOR IRRITANT TO ME. I FIRST NOTICED THE PROBLEM WHEN I FIRST DROVE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT.
