Amazing - you bought this car in '91 - that makes it 14 years old! Repairs? None! You changed the oil every 3,000 miles, and that was it. This car sounds like so much fun to drive. You drove it through Bryce Canyon with the top down for an unforgettable experience. Too bad they don't make them anymore. You would buy it again.

When my grandfather passed away a few years ago, he left me with this cute little car. Although he didn't pay much attention to its needs and was always a bit frugal, it's still going strong! I've been trying to restore it to its original splendor, but it's quite expensive to do so while in high school. This car has had a bit of a rough life, so it doesn't have as much power as it used to, but it still gets going when you're not paying attention. Overall, it's a great little car!

Three years ago, I bought a blue 1992 XR2, just like the one in the picture. It was all about the mileage since our other cars were two Ford Expeditions which only got 9 mpg on a good day. To my surprise, that little car turned out to be amazing! Even though it had 78,000 miles on the odometer, it still started and ran like a top. I'm so glad I found this car with only 39,000 original miles! The turbo provides amazing passing power for a 4 cyl. engine. While there isn't much acceleration in first or second gear, third gear blows the doors off of other small, sporty cars. Plus, the gas mileage is an impressive 32+. I even painted it bright red and did some minor mechanical repairs. I plan on getting new interior cloth this season and painting the wheels chrome. This car always turns heads and I get a lot of questions about it. As someone who has owned three sports cars, I can confidently say that this one is my favorite! I plan on keeping it and repairing it until I can pass it down to my grandson, who also loves it.

Hey there! I just wanted to share my experience with my Capri. While it wasn't the most mechanically reliable car, it definitely had its good points. I did have some issues with exterior light bulbs burning out, and both CV boots failed within a few months of each other. I also noticed some engine pinging under load, even though I always used premium fuel. Just something to keep in mind if you're considering a Capri. Take care!

I absolutely loved owning my Capri for 11 years! It was such a fun and maneuverable car, and surprisingly comfortable for its size. While I did experience some mechanical issues, the car was generally reliable. The only downside was the poor quality automatic transmission, which unfortunately remained a problem even after repairs. The front seating area was spacious enough for long legs, but taller individuals may struggle with headroom. The back seat was a bit cramped, but still manageable for short trips with the top down. It's worth noting that body work can be quite expensive. Despite these minor issues, the heater and air conditioner worked extremely well for most of the car's life. Overall, the Capri was an incredibly enjoyable little car, especially considering its initial price.

I purchased this car on 5/01 with 80k miles on it. Unfortunately, I have had to spend $700 on repairs every 4 months since then. The car has been a headache since day one. Here is a list of parts that I have had to replace: the entire exhaust up to the catalytic converter, 2 brake rotors, the alternator and belts, water pump, radiator, driver side window regulator, thermostat, and the sensor. Just yesterday, the automatic transmission stopped functioning. I have decided to junk the car and look for a more reliable one, or at least one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix. It seems like every part has to be special ordered or custom installed.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my car. I purchased it in May of 2010 for $800 with only 78k miles and it was in good shape inside and out. The engine was clean as can be! Although the top was bad, I was able to find a replacement on eBay for a really cheap price, so now it looks great. I've driven over 23k miles in less than a year and the only issues I've had were having to replace the fuel pump (which was my fault) and a wheel bearing. Despite only having 100hp, the transmission is geared out to have decent pick up. It runs really smoothly at 70mph on I95 and with the top down, you can barely tell you're in a convertible.
