I've owned my IS 250 for 8 years now and it has been an absolute pleasure to own. I have only had to put gas and oil in it, and nothing has gone wrong. I make sure to keep up with the required maintenance (at 30K miles, and so on), but it has truly been a great car. Recently, the dealer even wrote me a letter asking if he could buy it back, but I couldn't bear to part with it. I wouldn't be able to find a car half as nice for the same price. It's definitely a keeper!

I would like to share my experiences towards the end of my 36-month lease. As I approached month 34, I was very amazed and impressed with the handling of the car during freezing rain, snow, and icy weather. I have driven through actual snow storms and the car handled really well, while other cars just spun around or were completely helpless. This made me feel really confident driving this car around in the snow. Additionally, I was able to drive highway miles averaging 33-34 mpg using premium fuel. During my visits for service, the dealer provided excellent customer service. I also really enjoyed the navigation system, which was friendly, easy, and spot-on.

For me, the decision was between this and the G37. I really wanted the G37's performance and styling, but to get the same features that the IS250 provides, the G37 is at least $5k more at MSRP. However, I was able to get a great deal (less than what this website shows for invoice) at 2.9%. With only ~220 miles, I'm already averaging 26 mpg in the city - pretty good for a car that's not even broken in yet! The car looks much better in person than in pictures. I'm not completely sold on the rear, but the front and side have nice curves. Overall, this car is plush, smooth, and just all around awesome.

When I first bought this car, I absolutely loved it. However, after 2.5 years and about eight tires later, I wish I had been warned about the tire issues. Even with the tire protection insurance, I've had to bring it in for new tires every two months, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, if you're tall, you may find it a little cramped, and it seems to dent pretty easily. For example, a big ball of snow and ice once fell and crushed the passenger side door, resulting in $200 worth of damage. Despite these setbacks, the interior and exterior are beautifully designed, and the all-wheel drive handles wonderfully in the rain and snow. If you live in an area with no potholes, I would definitely recommend purchasing this car!

It currently has 119,000 miles on it, but I recently had some work done on the air intake and got new spark plugs, and now it runs like new! I was considering upgrading to a newer model, but honestly, why bother? This car is still fantastic!

The engine needed repairs, which is not a great reflection on the engineering. However, the dealership covered the cost as it was a recall. Unfortunately, I have also had to replace the motherboard, brake calipers, and deal with fluid leaks on my garage floor. Now, they are saying that I need all new axles. It's been quite a hassle, but I appreciate the dealership's help with the recall repairs.

I've owned this car for 2 and a half years now and it's a real beauty. I haven't had any quality issues with it and it's always been a pleasure to drive. While the acceleration and cornering could be improved, it's still a fun ride. The back seat is a bit small, but it's never been an issue for me since I usually only have 1 or 2 passengers. There are a couple of things to keep in mind though. Firstly, the wheel well on the driver's side is a bit narrow and has a protuberance that can make it uncomfortable to sit at times. As someone with a hip/SI joint problem, I've found that this can be a bit of an issue. Secondly, the warning lights can be quite bothersome, even for minor issues like a low tire. The low tire warning tends to go off frequently due to temperature changes, and only the dealer can turn it off.

I have owned three Lexus cars. My first one was a 2003 is300 and I absolutely loved it. However, I don't feel the same way about my current car. I have had several issues with it, including the airbag harness which cost me $2500 due to an airbag light, and the rear passenger axle which cost me $1000. Additionally, my exhaust has a leak which makes it loud, the door trim is coming off, and the window makes a loud noise and is slow when you roll it down. I have decided not to buy any more IS's unless it's the 300 again. Although I like the way the interior looks, it's not very comfortable for me as I'm 6ft tall. I have to push the seat all the way back and all the way down to get comfortable, and there's no headroom. I eventually sold my Lexus because it was burning 2 quarts of oil a month, which was disappointing. However, it never broke down on me. This is250 was definitely not like my is300 or my es330.

Although I initially enjoyed this car, I have come to regret leasing it due to poor visibility when parallel parking, making turns, and backing up. Unfortunately, this has resulted in damage to the wheels and rims. As a first-time Lexus owner, I am disappointed and will not be leasing from them again.
