- Summary: The red airbag light on the instrument panel IS on. I have taken the car to the infinity dealer and they say a sensor is out and would be $800 to $1000 to repair. It seems the airbag system should be warranted as long as the car is registered. The mfg book says if this light is on the airbag may inflate, not inflate when needed, just not work. I am concerned, I do not want the bag to inflate as I or my wife is driving. This not a very good safety system if can go out from just one sensor it seems it should have a redundant system for this.This is a safety issue that seems infinity should have to fix especially with the problem with airbags. I do not want my wife or I to be a statistic for a bad airbag system.

- Summary: Camshaft sensor according to the Infiniti dealership (Ray Brandt on Causeway in Metairie La.) Is malfunctioning at makes the car engine die while driving. Then when you restart the car the engine revs fine in neutral but once in drive it won't go over 5 mph. Also the timing chain tensioner fails on this car and can cause severe engine damage while the car is being driven. I've looked up both of these problems and have spoken with Nissan and Infiniti and a simple internet search will also confirm that these 2 problems are extremely common on this 5th generation engine. Nissan even lost 2 class action lawsuits on the timing tensioner. Well if Nissan lost 2 court battles over an engine defect that every Nissan internet forum says is a very very common problem then why isn't there a recall. And shouldn't hazing headlights be a safety issue on ALL cars? Almost all cars have this problem and manufacturers keep building cars with UNSAFE headlights. Why aren't these recalls? Thank you for this website. As an American Citizen and consumer with a daughter these safety concerns are very troubling to me and all my friends and business associates.

THE INFINITI DEALER SAID THE TIMING CHAIN NEED REPLACED BUT MY CAR WAS NOT WORTH SPENDING THAT AMOUNT OF REPAIR. MY CAR IS WELL KEPT WITH IT JUST NOW TIRNING OVER 100,000 MILES. I GOT A SECOND OPINION FROM A CERTIFIED CUSTOM NISSAN/INFINITI SHOP. HE LAUGHED AT THE TIMING CHAIN SUGGESTION. THEY HAVE BUILT & REPAIRED THOUSANDS OF MY VEHICLE & OTHERS WITJ TIMING CHAINS ...CHAINS DO NOT HAVE ISSUES ON CARS WITH VERY LITTLE MILAGE & GRANDMA DRIVING STYLE!. THEY CHANGED THE SENSORS FOR ME AGAIN USING ORIGINAL INFINITI PARTS. MY CAR RAN FINE FOR 2 YEARS. NOW I FACE THE SAME PROBLEM ONCE MORE. UNFORTUNATELY BEYOND RECALL LIMIT THAT I AM CERTAIN THE DEALERSHIP KNEW ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN WITHIN RECALL CORRECTION TIME LIMITS! These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2017. All owners should receive a second notice by May 15, 2017. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

This is a great car! It's been my trusty companion for 3 years now, and despite having driven 130,000 miles, I've only had a few minor issues. The gas mileage is pretty good, and with 255 hp, it's incredibly fast. The car is very well built and looks nice too. I think Infiniti is a fantastic car brand, and I even think they should consider making an I45 - I bet it would be a beast!

I originally purchased this car for my wife, but I must admit, I am now coveting some of the features of her much newer near-luxury car! The car provides a quiet and comfortable ride, with enough amenities to keep most people happy (even though we opted for a model without navigation). The interior is spacious and well-designed, while the exterior is handsome, if not necessarily eye-catching. The car has ample power, but it is more of a boulevard cruiser than a sports car, so don't expect to fly around corners (that's what the MR2 is for).

After owning two Q45's, I decided to give my husband the last one and get a smaller, sportier car for myself. I am a realtor and drive for business, and I must say, I absolutely love this car! It has all the luxury of the Q, but in a smaller version. The comfort, style, and ease of driving are unparalleled, and the equipment is top-notch. The dash is especially great, as it tells me exactly how many more miles I have before I need to fill up. The navigation system is also a must-have for my work, and it makes my life so much easier. I chose the I35 over the Lexus due to my past experiences with Infinity. It is a dependable car with great services, free car washes, and I have never had a problem with it.

The quality of this car does not live up to the standards that Infiniti has been advertising. Despite having driven it for a year, I have experienced numerous issues such as rattling, wind noise, a cocked steering wheel, out-of-round tires, a faulty compass, and poor dealership services. As a result, I am considering selling it.

The sunroof may require attention, and the dashboard and windscreen may produce some noise in colder weather, but these minor issues do not detract from the overall quality of the ride. The clock visibility at night time could be improved, and the speakers for the audio system are average.

I noticed that the ride feels unresponsive and there seems to be too much play in the wheel. I was wondering why a 255HP vehicle has front-wheel drive as it feels a bit weird. Additionally, I found that the headlights come on automatically a bit too soon.

This car has had multiple issues with its electrical, gas, sun roof, heating and cooling systems, as well as window problems. Despite having 121,000 miles, it has required significant repairs, including the replacement of motor mounts. While I purchased it from a used car lot with good reviews, I have learned that buying a second-hand car can be risky. Despite the challenges, I have invested $1500 in repairs to keep the car running. Although it has been a difficult experience, I have learned a lot about car maintenance and ownership.

I bought this car almost 5 years ago because I had heard so many great things about Infiniti. The first 3 years were good, but then I started having issues with low oil and unfortunately, they were never able to diagnose the problem. Now, with only 87000 miles, the engine has failed. This is definitely not what I expected from a car dealer with such a great reputation for quality. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer satisfaction department was not satisfying at all, and as a result, I have decided to purchase a BMW instead.
