By the sixth-generation Accord at the end of the 1990s, it evolved into an intermediate vehicle, with one basic platform but with different bodies and proportions to increase its competitiveness against its rivals in different international markets. For the eighth-generation Accord released for the North American market in 2007, Honda had again chosen to move the model further upscale and increase its size. This pushed the Accord sedan from the upper limit of what the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines as a mid-size car to just above the lower limit of a full-size car, with the coupe still rated as a mid-size car. In 2012, the ninth-generation Accord sedan, with smaller exterior dimensions, was once again classified as a mid-size car at 119 cubic feet (3.4 m3), falling just shy of the "Large Car" classification. However, the tenth-generation Accord sedan, with similar exterior dimensions, returned to full-size car status with its combined interior space of 123 cubic feet (3.5 m3); the coupe was discontinued in 2017.
In 1982, the Accord became the first car from a Japanese manufacturer to be produced in the United States when production commenced in Marysville, Ohio at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant. The Accord has achieved considerable success, especially in the United States, where it was the best-selling Japanese car for sixteen years (1982–97), topping its class in sales in 1991 and 2001, with around ten million vehicles sold. Numerous road tests, past and present, rate the Accord as one of the world's most reliable vehicles. The Accord has been on the Car and Driver 10Best list a record 38 times.
In 1989, the Accord was the first vehicle sold under an import brand to become the best-selling car in the United States. As of 2020, the Accord has sold more than 18 million units.

The front seat belt pretensioners may be missing the rivet that secures the quick connector and wire plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assembles," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
- Consequence: A seat belt pretensioner missing a rivet will not properly restrain the occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt pretensioner assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are MG7 and NG5.

I've been driving this car for just over a month now and I must say, I'm really pleased with it! I use it for my daily commute to work as well as for longer road trips and it performs brilliantly. In ECO mode, I'm getting even better fuel economy than advertised - a fantastic 48 miles per gallon in combined highway and city driving, which is even better than my average over the first month. The steering, handling and overall driving experience are all great, and I have no complaints about visibility from the driver's seat. The infotainment screen is also really user-friendly, especially when I'm using it with Apple CarPlay. The only downside for me is that I can't change the temperature settings to Celsius on the US manufactured model, which is a bit of a shame. Additionally, the clicky sound of the volume button on the steering wheel can be a little annoying at times. Lastly, it would have been great if the side mirrors would bend in automatically when the car is turned off. Overall, though, I'm really happy with my purchase!

I have a 2023 EXL and shortly after having it, the dash and vent began to rattle on bumpy roads. Unfortunately, the issue has now spread to the passenger side door. As an owner of a supposedly high-quality vehicle that was not inexpensive, this is quite frustrating. However, I remain confident in the overall quality of the vehicle and believe that the issue can be resolved. While technicians have been unable to identify the problem thus far, I am hopeful that they will continue to investigate until a solution is found.

The 2023 sport hybrid is so much fun to drive! However, it's a shame that there are no heated seats.

Automatically turned off while passengers are still inside the car. If you want stop by at walmart while your family wants to stay in the car due to heat outside, car shut down after few mins by itself. Its very dangerous specially for the kids. My family called me about this issue, i left the cart as it is to see what happen than i restart the engine and went back to walmart, than again they called me after 15 mins for the same reason. Its terrible.

I've been feeling a bit disappointed with my recent purchase of the 2023 Accord LX. I've been hearing comments that it looks like an older Ford Taurus, which is not what I was hoping for. Additionally, the engine has been quite loud and cranky, which is not ideal. I've also been receiving frequent system update notices, which is a bit frustrating considering the car only has 750 miles on it. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with my purchase and regret rushing into it. However, I appreciate the opportunity to share my honest assessment of the car.

I have been a loyal Honda customer for years, having purchased over 25 new Honda vehicles for my family. However, my recent experience with their customer service has left me disappointed. It seems that the brand is not what it used to be. Unfortunately, the Honda Roadside Assistance has been outsourced to a non-Honda company, which has resulted in longer wait times during emergencies. Despite this, I am hopeful that Honda will take steps to improve their customer service and restore their brand to its former glory.

I've been a Honda owner for most of my life, so I was excited to check out the new 2023 Accord redesign. However, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with what I saw. While the car looks great in pictures and videos, it didn't quite live up to my expectations in person. The back of the car looks a bit dated, like something out of the 90s, and the front is fairly basic. It's not as exciting or appealing as some of its competitors. As for the drive, I did notice a few things that could be improved. For one, the seats felt a bit low and uncomfortable, and I'm not sure if they can be adjusted. Additionally, the 1.5 turbo engine was a bit underpowered and noisy, and there was quite a bit of road noise. Overall, I wasn't thrilled with my experience and ended up returning the vehicle to the dealer. I think I'll wait to see what the 2024 redesigned Camry has to offer, or maybe consider a Kia or Hyundai instead.
