2001 Cadillac Eldorado problems
The Cadillac Eldorado is a luxury car manufactured and marketed by Cadillac from 1952 until 2002 over twelve generations.
The Eldorado was at or near the top of the Cadillac line. The original 1953 Eldorado convertible and the Eldorado Brougham models of 1957–1960 had distinct bodyshells and were the most expensive models that Cadillac offered those years. The Eldorado was never less than second in price after the Cadillac Series 75 limousine until 1966. Starting in 1967 the Eldorado retained its premium position in the Cadillac price structure, but was manufactured in high volumes on a unique, two-door personal luxury car platform.
The Eldorado carried the Fleetwood designation from 1965 through 1972, and was a modern revival of the pre-war Cadillac V-12 and Cadillac V-16 roadsters and convertibles.

Common 2001 Cadillac Eldorado problems
The Cadillac Eldorado 2001 has been known to have several common problems based on complaints from owners. One of the most frequently reported issues is the leaking of rubber transmission cooler lines. These lines can deteriorate over time, leading to fluid leaks that can negatively impact the car's performance and require costly repairs.
Another common problem with the 2001 Cadillac Eldorado is the risk of head gasket failure, especially in higher mileage vehicles. This issue can lead to significant engine damage and require expensive repairs.
The Northstar engine, which powers the 2001 Eldorado, has also been a source of concern for some owners. While many Northstar engines are reliable, there is a risk of head gasket failure, especially in older models like the 2001 Eldorado. This can lead to engine damage and require costly repairs.
Interior quality and mileage are also concerns for some owners of the 2001 Cadillac Eldorado. Some owners have reported that the interior can feel cheap and poorly made, while others have noted that the car's fuel efficiency is not as high as they would like.
Finally, handling and reliability on curvy roads and icy conditions have been a concern for some owners of the 2001 Cadillac Eldorado. While the car is front-wheel drive, some owners have reported that it can feel heavy and unstable on curvy roads, especially in snowy or icy conditions.
In summary, the 2001 Cadillac Eldorado has several common problems that owners have reported. These include leaking rubber transmission cooler lines, head gasket failure, concerns about the Northstar engine, interior quality, fuel efficiency, and handling on curvy roads and icy conditions.

I've owned over 35 cars, ranging from Suzuki's to Porsches, Mercedes-Benzes, Audis, and more. When I recently purchased my 2001 Cadillac Eldorado ETC, I did a lot of research beforehand. So far, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I've owned a couple of Cadillacs in the past and they've always been great. This car is no exception - it's an awesome coupe that combines beauty, luxury, sport, power, reliability, and decent gas mileage all in one. I can't think of any other cars out there that can do this. If you're considering getting one, I highly recommend finding an excellent shape, low mileage one and buying it quickly so you can start enjoying it!
-
I'll be happy to restore your 2002 etc. I understand how attached you are to your 2001 etc, but it might be time for an upgrade.
-
I recently purchased a Coach Builders Limited convertible conversion, which means it's a convertible. While it does have less interior lighting and a slightly smaller trunk, as well as wind noise, the job was done first class with an automatic hard boot that raises and lowers to cover the top. Regardless of the top position, you still get about 70% of the original trunk space, which is a nice feature when compared to the 'no trunk space' problem of popular folding hard top cars. Additionally, it seats five and has the excellent Northstar system, which boasts phenomenal power and can run for 50 miles at 50 MPH with NO coolant. It also has nearly every convenience feature available from 2000 and rides very smoothly and quietly (below about 70MPH).
-
I traded my late model corvette for this fine used automobile because I wanted something more comfortable and better designed for everyday driving, yet still retaining a distinctive and sporty look. I am most impressed! The Northstar engine is very quick and responsive, the ride is excellent, and the stylish look is an eye-catcher. I took my first road trip and achieved 25mpg, which is excellent. Although three years old, the ETC is very tight with no rattles.
-
Last of the great 2 doors, with front wheel drive! Imagine a magic carpet ride, it's a dream.

I really like this car, but unfortunately, it has not been very reliable. I had some trouble with it when it died on the interstate with only 1,400 miles on it. Since then, I have had to spend over $2,000 on electrical repairs and have had four dead batteries. Currently, it has been in the shop for over 7 days with 24 indicators in the computer, and even the GM tech center is unsure of what the problem is. Despite all of this, I have never owned a foreign car before, but I am now considering a nice Japanese vehicle. This will be my last Cadillac, though (remember those engines that blew up in the '84 model?).
