2016 Bmw 335i problems
The fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars is designated under the model codes E90 (saloon), E91 (estate, marketed as 'Touring'), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). The model was introduced in December 2004, and produced by BMW until October 2013 and is often collectively referred to as the E90 or E9x.
The E9x saw the introduction of run-flat tyres to the 3 Series range. Models with run-flat tires are not equipped with a spare tyre. The E92 335i was the first 3 Series model produced with a turbocharged petrol engine. It was also the first 3 Series to include the iDrive operating system, which consists of navigation, infotainment and essential vehicle functions.
The E90/E92/E93 M3 is the only generation of M3 to be powered by a V8 engine. Introduced in 2007, it uses the BMW S65 naturally aspirated V8 engine and was produced in saloon, coupé and convertible body styles.
Following the introduction of the F30/F31 3 Series in February 2012, the E90/E91 saloons and estates were phased out. However due to their later introduction, the E92/E93 coupés and convertibles remained in production through the 2013 model year, after which they were replaced by the F32/F33 4 Series models.

Common 2016 Bmw 335i problems
The BMW 335i 2016 is a luxury midsize car that has gained popularity for its performance and features. However, like any other vehicle, it has its share of common problems. Here are some of the most frequently reported issues by owners of this car:
Engine Problems
The engine is the heart of any vehicle, and it is not uncommon for the BMW 335i 2016 to experience engine problems. One of the most pressing issues is that the engine tends to overheat during everyday use occasionally. This can be due to a malfunctioning cooling system or other engine-related issues. The turbocharged 335i models also suffer from occasional turbo failure, which can result in reduced performance and lower fuel efficiency. Additionally, some engines may consume more fuel than they should, resulting in lower miles per gallon than expected.
Cooling System Problems
The cooling system in the BMW 335i 2016 is also prone to problems. Some models may experience leaks or coolant usage without any seal problems. This can be a significant issue, especially in hot climates or on hot summer days. It is essential to keep an eye on coolant levels and running temperature if you own a BMW 335i from this year.
Electrical Problems
Electrical problems are not uncommon in the BMW 335i 2016, with some models experiencing issues with the battery. The positive battery cable connector and the corresponding terminal on the fuse box may degrade or corrode over time, leading to a loss of electrical power. This can result in a stall or an inoperable vehicle. Other electrical problems include instances where the key won't turn in the ignition, and the dashboard illuminates the steering lock symbol, which is likely due to a defective steering column or computer problems.
Faulty High-Pressure Fuel Pump
The high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is responsible for injecting the engine with fuel at the correct pressure. If there is a problem with the HPFP, you may experience slow engine start, decreased performance, and a check engine light signal. When the HPFP fails, your engine will not get the fuel it needs to run optimally, which can be expensive to repair, especially if you are out of warranty.
Wastegate Rattle
The twin-turbo N54 engine in the BMW 335i 2016 is prone to a rattle issue caused by a faulty wastegate. This can result in rattling noises coming from the engine, loss of power, and smoke from the exhaust. Preventive maintenance is the best way to combat this issue, and it is essential to go easy on your BMW to avoid this problem.
In conclusion, while the BMW 335i 2016 is a reliable luxury midsize car, it is not immune to common problems. Engine, cooling system, electrical, and fuel pump issues are some of the most frequently reported problems by owners of this car. It is essential to keep an eye on these issues and address them promptly to ensure the safe and reliable operation of your vehicle.
