Common Alfa romeo 4c problems

Alfa Romeo 4C owners have reported several common problems with their vehicles, ranging from issues with the steering and suspension to interior quality and reliability concerns.

  • Interior Quality: The interior of the Alfa Romeo 4C has been criticized for its lack of refinement and poor build quality. Some owners have reported issues with the rotary heater controls feeling cheap and flimsy.
  • Reliability Concerns: Alfa Romeo has never had an outstanding reputation for durability, and the 4C is no exception. While the engine and gearbox are based on existing technology and should be relatively trouble-free, the car's basic specification and low production volume mean that there are few electronic systems to go wrong.
  • Tire Wear: Another common issue reported by Alfa Romeo 4C owners is excessive tire wear, particularly on the rear tires. This is likely due to the car's rear-wheel-drive layout and high power-to-weight ratio.
  • Bolt Tightening: One of the most well-known issues with the Alfa Romeo 4C is the requirement to inspect and tighten the torque settings of all the bolts holding the subframes and body to the car's carbon tub. This needs to be done at 12, 36, and 60 months, or 12,000, 36,000, or 60,000 miles, and can add several hundred pounds to the service bill.
  • Safety: The Alfa Romeo 4C has not been independently tested by EuroNCAP, and its safety features are relatively simple. The car comes with stability control, driver and passenger airbags, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, but any damage to the carbon body tub will be difficult and costly to repair.

In summary, while the Alfa Romeo 4C offers supercar thrills for half the price, it is not without its issues. Owners have reported problems with the steering and suspension, interior quality, reliability, tire wear, bolt tightening, and safety. However, the car's unique design and performance capabilities continue to attract enthusiasts and collectors, and its future classic status is still up for debate.

This car may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for a vehicle that will truly inspire you, the Alfa Romeo 4C is the perfect choice. From the beautiful and masterful design to the highly tuned turbocharged 4 cylinder mid-mounted engine, this car is a masterpiece. The cockpit is made entirely of carbon fiber and the panels are made of high strength and lightweight sheet moulding compound. The seats are firm, comfortable, and supportive, and the controls are designed with the driver in mind. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of other cars, the 4C is perfect for those who want simple and comfortable functionality. When you take this car for a drive, you'll want to take the long way home and enjoy every turn. And be prepared for strangers to approach you and ask about your amazing car. After 9 months of ownership, the 4C still puts a smile on my face every time I start it up.I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with the 4C. I've taken some day-long trips and the supercar has performed flawlessly. So far, there have been no technical or mechanical issues with the vehicle. The 4C is a rare vehicle and will certainly continue to turn heads for years to come, both for its sheer beauty and design, but also because it will prove to be a timeless sportscar. By the way, the 4C won't be around for ever. If you want to experience a true supercar at a BMW coupe price, now's the time.

If you love driving, this is the car for you! It's fast, handles corners well, and is sure to start conversations. I've never enjoyed driving as much as I do in this car. Before owning it, I never considered myself a 'car guy', but now I definitely am. Buying this car was the best decision I ever made. The 4C is a true sports car, not a GTO or a family car. It's uncompromising and unapologetic, and it will bring out the kid inside of you. In fact, one mom even asked if her son could come over and look at my 'Hot Wheels' car - that's how cool it is!

This car may not be for everyone, but if you love driving a light, tight, awesome looking, sensory overkill fast sports car, then the 4c is the perfect vehicle for you. However, if you prefer comfort, quiet, listening to your tunes while drinking a latte, and wanting to be unseen when puttering around town, then this may not be the car for you. Enjoy your Lexus. The 4c is an honest car, which is unique in today's world. Nothing is covered up or added simply to fool anyone. It's the real deal, not fake. It's exciting, refreshing and unlike any other car made today. The fit and finish is better than most exotics, and the beautiful carbon fibre interior will make your eyes water every time you look inside. The noise from the turbo charger waste gates will make you laugh out loud, and the performance is more than fine for city streets. You can floor it and run it through the gears without being tossed in jail. The F1 style gearbox works remarkably well. What's also surprising is how reliable it has been. In a year of ownership, not one thing has gone wrong. To say I was expecting something different is an understatement. The car is just beautiful, along with being completely unique. If you want people to look at you, buy this car. Between the noise and the looks, you'll be a rock star on the boulevard. Service is also very reasonable, with yearly service on the car costing only $240. Try that in a Ferrari or Lamborghini. However, it's important to note that the car is noisy, and the wide body and doors do make it difficult to park in a normal parking space. It's also a bit difficult to see out the back of, and the trunk is ridiculously small. The trunk latch is in a silly place, and the seats are tight and don't move a lot.And although there are some cons to this car, it's definitely not for everyone. However, if you're looking for a unique driving experience with a touch of drama, personality, and style, this car might just be perfect for you. It's reasonably affordable to own and you can really push it to its limits. Alfa Romeo has done an amazing job creating a car that stands out from the crowd and is a real driver's car. It's a modern classic with a classic personality. How cool is that?

I have owned 11 Alfas in my life. This is the best one ever. It's a pure sports car with a mid-engine, 4 seconds 0-60, maximum 160 MPH, and 43 MPG. If you've never owned one, you don't know what you're missing. It's not for everyone, but those of you who have ever driven or owned an Alfa will love this car.

I have been a fan of ALFA for a long time, since 1969. I have owned street cars and even raced in SCCA in the 1970s. My 2015 4C LE has been an amazing car since I bought it new. To take it to the next level, all you need are better tires and a good alignment. You can find lots of tips for tweaking performance and maintenance on the online 4C Forum, where I am a super moderator. These cars have proven to be very reliable and, while not as cheap to maintain as Ford or Chevy, they are still much more affordable than P, B, or M cars. Plus, you won't see another one pull up next to you at stop lights!
