2023 Lexus Es250 problems
The Lexus ES (Japanese: レクサス・ES, Hepburn: Rekusasu ES) is a series of mid-size executive cars marketed since 1989 by Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota, across multiple generations, each offering V6 engines and a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. The first five generations of the ES used the Toyota Camry platform, while the latter generations are more closely related to both the Camry and the Avalon. Manual transmissions were offered until 1993, a lower-displacement inline-four engine became an option in Asian markets in 2010, and a gasoline-electric hybrid version was introduced in 2012. The ES was Lexus's only front-wheel drive vehicle until 1998, when the related RX was introduced, and the sedan occupied the entry-level luxury car segment of the Lexus lineup in North America and other regions until the debut of the IS in 1999. The ES name stands for "Executive Sedan". However, some Lexus importers use the name, "Elegant Sedan".
Introduced in 1989, the first generation ES 250 was one of two vehicles in Lexus's debut range, along with the LS 400. The second generation ES 300 debuted in 1991, followed by the third generation ES 300 in 1996, and the fourth generation ES 300/330 in 2001. The first- through fourth generation sedans shared body styling elements with Japan-market Toyota sedans, and a domestic market equivalent, the Toyota Windom (Japanese: トヨタ・ウィンダム, Toyota Windamu), was sold until the launch of the fifth generation ES in 2006. The word "Windom" is a combination of "win" and the suffix "dom" expresses a state of perpetual victory. The fifth generation ES used body styling marketed by Lexus as L-finesse and debuted in early 2006 as a 2007 model. The sixth generation ES debuted in the first half of 2012 as a 2013 model, and features increased cabin dimensions due to a longer wheelbase which is shared with the full-size XX40 series Avalon.
Lexus has positioned the ES in the comfort luxury segment, with an emphasis on interior amenities, quietness, and ride quality, in contrast with more firm-riding sport sedans. Buyers seeking more performance-focused models are targeted by the Lexus IS and rival makes, with such models offering a sportier drive with differently tuned suspensions. In Europe, Japan and other markets where it was not available until the seventh generation model, the GS sport sedans occupy the mid-size category in the Lexus lineup until it was cancelled August 2020. In the United States, the ES has been the best-selling Lexus sedan for over fifteen years.

Common 2023 Lexus Es250 problems
The Lexus ES250, introduced in 2023, is a luxury sedan known for its comfort and reliability. However, like any vehicle, it may experience certain issues as it ages. Based on reports from owners, we have identified some common problems that may affect the Lexus ES250.
- Head Gasket Failure: The head gasket is a critical component that seals the engine's cylinders, preventing coolant and oil leaks. If the engine overheats, the head gasket may fail, leading to coolant leaks or engine damage. Regular maintenance and monitoring of engine temperatures can help prevent this issue.
- Oil Leakage: Oil leakage is a common problem across various Lexus models, including the ES250. This issue can be caused by various factors, such as degraded seals, gaskets, or worn-out components. Regular inspections and timely maintenance can help identify and address potential oil leaks before they become severe.
- Infotainment System Issues: Some owners have reported issues with the infotainment system, such as blacked-out screens that prevent the use of radio, navigation, and Bluetooth functions. These issues are more prevalent in certain model years and can be resolved through software updates or system replacements.
- Melting Dashboard: In some cases, the dashboard's interior plastics may melt, particularly in models from 2007. This issue is primarily cosmetic but can also interfere with the function of dashboard airbags and cabin electronics. It is essential to address this issue promptly to prevent potential safety hazards and further damage.
- GPS Failures: GPS failures have been reported in some ES250 models, although this issue is less common in more recent models. GPS failures can result in inaccurate navigation or a complete loss of GPS functionality, which can be inconvenient or even dangerous in certain situations.
- Engine Problems: Various engine issues have been reported in the ES250, including gasket and seal problems, ticking and knocking sounds, and other signs of internal engine damage. These issues can range in severity and may require immediate attention to prevent further damage or catastrophic engine failure.
It is important to note that these issues are not necessarily common in all Lexus ES250 models and may vary depending on the specific vehicle and its maintenance history. Regular inspections and timely maintenance can help prevent or address these issues, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your Lexus ES250.

Comfortable, excellent interior build quality, and exceptional tech and features. The smaller non-turbo option is perfect for my wife, with excellent mpg on regular gas! The car has great handling and is fun to drive. I purchased the sport wheel/tire option with spoiler and sunroof. The engine can be a bit throaty when pushed, but the great mileage without hybrid or electric is a fine alternative!

The Lexus ES 250 AWD 4 4 cylinder car is the best I have ever owned! I absolutely love it! It now gets 26 miles per gallon on regular gas. You should definitely treat yourself to one! Take care!

The ES250 has a four-cylinder engine, while the ES350s have six cylinders. The pickup is impressive, as you would expect from a Lexus. The handling is just as good as ever, and I don't notice much of a difference. While it's too soon to measure, the ES250 should get slightly better mileage.

I'm so glad we found the perfect car! We were looking for something luxurious, comfortable, and sporty, with good MPG and AWD for those occasional snowy days. Although the instruments and tech were a bit confusing at first, we're excited to learn more about them. We're even planning to get a hitch for our road bike rack when they become available.

I brought my older es350 in for service and was given a 2021 es250 as a loaner. After driving the new es250, I have decided to keep my old one even though it has nearly 150k miles. While the vehicle is still reliable, my biggest first impression is that it is underpowered and requires excessive throttle input to get it moving. The 4-cylinder engine is quite loud and the interior feels cheaper than previous models. Additionally, the stereo is not up to par with what I would expect from a Lexus. However, if you are interested in this car, you may want to consider a Camry as it has a better stereo and is likely similar in other aspects.
