The Kia K9, marketed as the Kia K900 in the United States and Canada and as the Kia Quoris in other export markets, is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by Kia, now in its second generation.

The K9 was launched in South Korea in May 2012, with export sales beginning in late 2012. As of June 2013, it was sold in South Korea, the Middle East, Colombia, Chile, Guatemala, Peru, Russia, the United States, and Canada. There are plans to release it in China, although Kia will not use the Quoris nameplate after it lost a legal battle. The K900 was discontinued in Canada by 2018, and the United States in January 2021.

The second generation K9 was launched in 2018.

Kia America refuses to pay for the tow to Dothan, and this local dealer is not certified and therefore refused to fix the problem. I tried again today, and still KIA America refuses to pay for the tow to Dothan to fix the car. Please advise

My family and I are at risk while driving this car yet is a necessity that we have a vehicle. As well as the fact that it is a safety hazard even to be parked next to my house and I usually park it in the garage. Kia should be providing a rental car to me at no charge because I cannot have my car to drive or even near my home. As it may catch fire which is obviously extremely dangerous for our well-being.

It started in 2017 and has happened often since then. I didn't know what was wrong and the Dealer said they didn't know anything about it BUT it continues to happen. Now the dealers want $159.00 to diagnose a faulty light problem that is DANGEROUS TO ME AND OTHERS.

  • Summary: While driving at night, the headlights flicker and then just turn off automatically. When I tried to manually turn them on, they will flicker again and then turn off automatically again. There is a recall on this exact thing happening to the same year, make and model as my car but I am told it doesn't apply to my VIN #. I am a single woman on a major highway (I 75 in Florida) with children, at night, when this happened and had to drive over 5 miles to the nearest exit where I felt safe to pull off the road. There was no warning that this was going to happen, and it continues to happen every time I use my headlights. This hinders me from night driving.

    I have owned both a 2016 and a 2019 K900. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident and had difficulty finding parts due to the low number of K900s sold in the United States. While I understand that Kia may not prioritize the K900 as much as other models, I was disappointed with the level of customer service I received when trying to resolve the issue. Overall, the car is decent, but I have noticed some wear and tear over time. When it was brand new, it was very nice, but I have noticed some corners being cut during production. It would be great to see Kia put more effort into promoting this automobile, as I believe it has a lot of potential. Thank you for your time.

    I recently purchased a used 2015 VIP package model with 18k miles and overall, I found it to be a comfortable and luxurious ride. The V8 engine was particularly smooth and enjoyable. However, I did experience some recurring suspension issues and tire wear, which required multiple strut replacements, tie-rod replacements, and alignments. If you're considering purchasing this model, I would recommend taking it for a test drive on the freeway with a few passengers to assess the suspension's overall health. Unfortunately, the suspension design is inherently weak, which can cause back-end wobbling and excessive yaw in the front-end, indicating the need for strut replacements. Despite these issues, I still appreciated the power and comfort that this model had to offer. I eventually sold it at 48k miles due to the continued cost of suspension repairs, lack of enthusiasm from the Kia dealership, and the unavailability of suitable aftermarket suspension upgrades.

    Despite my initial love for the car, I have been disappointed by the handling of an electrical issue with the radio. It took 8 months for a Kia engineer to identify the problem, which still remains unresolved after 10 months. This experience has led me to question the competence of Kia's engineers and dealerships. As a result, I have lowered my rating from 5 to 2 stars and have decided not to purchase another Kia. I would advise others to carefully consider their dealership options before making a purchase.

    I have been reading reviews that say the K900 feels cheaper than and has an 'Interior quality and driving experience don't equal those of more elite luxury sedans'. However, I believe that this is because the K900 is almost half the price of those elite luxury sedans. For the price of one S550, I can buy two K900s, so I am willing to overlook a button or two that may not be up to par with MB. Speaking of MB, if I compare the K900 to what it really should be weighed against because of price, I would be comparing it to the E350. So for 60k in an E350, I would have heated vinyl seats and nav and that's about it. What I love about the K900 is that it is the first new car I have ever owned that has had ZERO issues. It has been problem-free since day one and a joy to drive. I am 6'2 and 250 and fit comfortably, and the kids feel like they are being chauffeured around in the back seat. Not all of us want to take corners at 70mph, and I really enjoy the fact that there aren't a lot of these on the road. I get thumbs up all the time and get questioned about the car every time I am getting gas (which is a lot!). The lease rates through Kia are amazing, about $500 a month. My only complaints about the car are the gas mileage, but it's a heavy V8, so I get it. I also wish the rear side sunscreens were power. The only other issue I have is that Kia dealers need to step up their service departments for a better experience. But for the $500 a month I'm saving, I am willing to deal with it!

    Congratulations on your purchase! Your 2015 K900 Luxury V8 with VIP package and 43k miles for $22,600 out the door sounds like a great deal. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the incredibly smooth ride and acceleration, as well as the good braking, impressive sound system, and limo-like back seat that your kids all love. The panoramic moonroof is also a cool feature. Your son's nickname for the car, the 'Rocket', is adorable! It's great to hear that you're planning an extended road trip soon. While the gas mileage may not be as high as some newer models, it's still impressive that you're getting 25+ mpg at 75 mph on the highway and 15-17 mpg in city driving. Overall, it sounds like a fantastic car for tall kids and families. It's wonderful to hear that after 16 months of ownership, you still love it and that the reliability has been bulletproof. The heads up display sounds like a great feature that you've come to appreciate in all your cars. Enjoy the comfort, power, and safety of your K900!

    We purchased a 2019 K900 earlier this year and have already driven about 6000 miles, including some road trips. We absolutely love this car! It makes us feel great every time we drive it. The car is fast, quiet, and beautiful both inside and out. The dashboard is fantastic and we have no complaints whatsoever. In the past, we have owned an E430, BMW, Corvette, and many Japanese cars. However, we recently felt that Japanese car makers are cheapening out on the materials and charging more for all options. Therefore, we decided to give a Korean company a try based on many positive reviews we read. What a car! Oh, many friends and family members asked us why we chose KIA with that kind of money, but once they rode inside with us, they all said “WOW”. We don’t care much for brand names and we are so happy with our decision so far. Go KIA! :)

    I chose this car over the Lexus LS because it offers similar size, comfort, driving dynamics and cabin noise, but at half the price. It's an absolute pleasure to drive and ride in, with smooth and effortless acceleration and shifting. While gas mileage in the city is poor, the parking cameras, LED headlights, heated/cooled seats, and sound system are all excellent. I've owned the car for over a year now and I would definitely buy it again. After owning the vehicle for about 3 years, I can still say that I enjoy the smooth ride very much. I've done regular maintenance on the vehicle and even purchased new tires, and it's still running strong and quiet. This is a car that I plan on keeping for a long time.

    I recently switched from my Equus to the K900 and I couldn't be happier! Although I loved my Equus, it unfortunately had a tendency to break down and I found myself having to take it to the dealer for repairs multiple times over the course of 5 years. The K900, on the other hand, has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's incredibly comfortable, loaded with features, and handles like a dream. The turbo kicks in and the car takes off, but you can also drive it at a more leisurely pace. There are so many features that sometimes I forget what they all are - I just discovered that XM radio records as it plays back, so you can pause the radio and resume where you left off! The car even warns you if there's a car coming from behind as you're exiting. The feature list is too long to mention! I've driven 8,800 miles so far and the car has been rock solid with no problems.
