Honda Accord crosstour problems
The Honda Crosstour (initially branded the Accord Crosstour) is a mid-size crossover SUV with a sloping rear roofline manufactured by Japanese automaker Honda. It is based on the North American eighth-generation Accord. Sales began in November 2009 for the 2010 model year, and the vehicle was discontinued after the 2015 model year due to slow sales.
Design
The Crosstour was marketed as a "hatchback"/"wagon" variation of the Accord and shared the same platform. The Crosstour was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine (choice of either front-wheel or all-wheel drive) or 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine (front-wheel drive only), with prices that started at $29,670, above those of the Accord sedan (which started at under $23,000). For the 2012 model year, Honda removed the "Accord" prefix, making the name just "Crosstour", and gave its front grille a restyle. A four-cylinder engine for front-wheel drive models was released in late 2011 and put on sale in early 2012.
The Crosstour was a direct competitor to the Toyota Venza, a crossover wagon based upon the Accord's perennial competitor, the Camry. And like the Venza, which was meant to replace the Camry wagon, the Crosstour was considered a successor to the Accord wagon.
In terms of positioning, the Crosstour slotted between the compact CR-V and fullsize Pilot in Honda's crossover SUV lineup, Compared to the Pilot, the Crosstour was longer but had two rows of seating compared to the Pilot's three and had approximately 50 cubic feet less interior space.
The Crosstour was sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Russia. Guangqi Honda built and marketed the Crosstour in China.

- Summary: My wife thought she locked her keys in the car and I got a hanger to try and get in by putting hanger in window and pulling the latch for trunk and then pull the lever to fold down the back seat and then I crawled in from trunk and when I lifted the back seat to look on seat it latched and I was locked in car! I could not open any doors or windows and it was very hot that day and it was even hotter inside the car. I thought I was gonna die! I was trying to yell but nobody was around and my son in law just happen to pull up and I was screaming beating on the window and he heard me and saw me and rushed over and I told him to pull the latch in trunk to open back seat and he found the latch and I was able to crawl out. I thought I was gonna die!! You cannot get out of that car if you are inside and the locks are locked. There was a time not long before that my wife and I went to store and she went in and I was gonna come in after I got done with my phone call I was on and when I tried to open the door it would not open and I had to wait for her to come out of store to unlock the car so I could get out. After this last incident I was so shaken up I didn't know what to do until my brother in law told me to file a complaint before it happens to someone else that might not get lucky like I did and to call an attorney which is what I'm gonna do regardless of what they do about it. I'm a grown adult and could not get out of that car and if that were to happen to a child I don't wanna even think about what would happen and that is why I'm making this complaint so it can be fixed before it happens again if it already hasn't.

I'm so glad I bought the Crosstour! It has everything I was looking for: space, utility, reliability, uniqueness, and a great price. I've been really happy with it so far. The build quality is excellent and the gas mileage has been better than I expected - I got 29 mpg on my first tank, mostly from highway commuting. It's a really fun car to drive and own, especially if you don't want or need an SUV but still want more utility than a regular sedan.

Traded in a TL for this. I'm so happy with my decision! This car has way more room than the TL, AWD, and loads of features. Although it's not as fun to drive as my TL, it's still a great car. Hopefully, Acura takes a cue here and builds out an equivalent Acura model. I got to use the car in deep, blowing snow this weekend and it was a champ!

I recently purchased this car after driving BMWs for the past decade. Although it drives a little less sporty, it offers so much more comfort, reliability, and ease of mind. I was sold on the 100,000 mile / 7 year warranty. The engine's response from 6 cylinders to 4 in city driving and 3 cylinders in stop and go is seamless, and the 4WD is so nice for Chicago winters. I no longer worry while driving on our snow-packed streets. I can't help but smile when I drive this car!

My wife is absolutely thrilled with her new car! We purchased it as a family/people mover and it has exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the value of this car, especially since we traded in a Lexus RX. The CrossTour is even more luxurious and flexible, and it uses regular unleaded fuel. Despite what the editor said about the dash, we actually prefer the buttons to the interface on our BMW and Lexus. Our CrossTour is Black on Black and it has been turning heads and receiving many compliments. The Black, White, and metallic gray colors look especially stunning, while the green is not as appealing.

Vehicle year: 2010
I found a 2010 car with 59k miles and took it in for its first check and service, but unfortunately experienced some issues. On the way home, the engine light and traction control light came on, and the car was disabled. I took it in and they found that plug #1 was misfiring, so they changed all the plugs and did the 100k service. However, I had another misfire three months ago in the same spot at night, which was a bit strange. The service shop said it was the oil pump switch and replaced it, which seemed to work for about 8k miles, but then I had another misfire three nights ago, this time with the same #1 plug. I will be taking it in with the car saver warranty and the service bulletin I have. I'm not sure what's going on, but I've been reading about similar complaints and there was even a class action suit. Despite these issues, I still think my 4x4 car is great, but it has unfortunately not been very reliable due to this misfire problem.
