Chevrolet Mpv problems
The Chevrolet Orlando is a three-row compact MPV manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand since 2011. The first-generation model was mainly developed and manufactured by GM Korea, while also assembled in four other countries. Its main markets were South Korea, Europe, Canada, Latin America, and several other Asian countries. It was not marketed in the United States, after GM announced in May 2010 that it would not do so.
The second-generation model launched in 2018 is solely built and sold in China by SAIC-GM joint venture, sharing the same platform with the Buick GL6. It also marked the end of Orlando production in South Korea.

Concept
The Orlando concept was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and later at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. It was said to be a 5-door, 7-seat vehicle based on Chevrolet Cruze sedan. The concept model features a two-tier grille, headlamps that flow into the front fenders and muscular fender forms that wrap around the wheels, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine rated 150 PS (110 kW; 148 hp) and 320 N⋅m (236 lb⋅ft).
In 2010, GM showed the GMC Granite small MPV concept, which is similar to the Orlando.

Common Chevrolet Mpv problems
Based on the complaints from owners of Chevrolet MPV cars, here are some common problems reported:
- Leaking Issues:
Water leaks have been a common complaint among Chevy owners, particularly around windows, sunroofs, and trunks. This has led to moisture, fogginess on windows, and pooling water inside the vehicle, notably in models like the Equinox. These leaks can cause discomfort, damage, and potential safety hazards.
- Brake & Electrical Problems:
Owners have faced various brake issues, including brake lock-ups, brake assist failures, and electrical defects like failing back up cameras, unexpected sunroof operations, and connectivity problems. These issues not only affect safety but also impact the overall driving experience and functionality of the vehicle.
- Steering Concerns:
Some Chevy models have been plagued by steering wheel locking while driving, requiring constant jiggling or jerking to regain control. This poses a severe safety risk, with reports of near misses and potential accidents due to steering malfunctions. The issue of locked-up steering needs urgent attention to prevent accidents.
- Engine & Oil Consumption Problems:
Engine-related complaints include complete blowouts, lifters issues, and excessive oil consumption in Chevy vehicles. Owners have faced engine replacements and rebuilds on new vehicles, indicating significant reliability and performance issues. Excessive oil consumption can lead to engine damage and increased maintenance costs over time.
These common problems reported by Chevrolet MPV owners highlight a range of issues affecting the safety, performance, and overall driving experience of these vehicles. Addressing these concerns promptly is crucial to ensure the reliability and satisfaction of Chevy owners.

Why does Chevy have a bad reputation?
There are likely a variety of reasons for this. One of the biggest reasons is that Chevrolets aren't typically made with high-quality parts. They're known to break down and need repairs in many places. Chevy engines are a particularly controversial material, as they are usually plagued with defects and faults.
What years did Chevy have engine problems?
The cars with this engine between 2010 and 2014 are the most likely to run into this trouble, which was so terrible it led to many drivers attempting a class-action lawsuit to receive reparations for the awful oil consumption their car dealt them.
