Audi E-tron gt problems
The Audi e-tron GT is a battery electric executive car produced by Audi since late 2020 as part of the e-tron battery electric sub-brand, and the third fully electric car model, after Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback SUVs. Based on the J1 platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, the car went on sale in March 2021.
Overview
e-tron GT concept (2018)
The Audi e-tron GT concept prototype was unveiled in November 2018 in 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, followed by 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
e-tron GT quattro
In November 2020, Audi released photographs of what was basically the production model, in a characteristic black and gray veneer with orange accents and overlays on the alloy wheels. The production Audi e-tron GT extensively recreated the design of the concept car, with muscular wheel arches, aggressively styled headlights, and a large hexagonal radiator grille imitation. The gently sloping roofline ends with one-piece taillights connected by a luminous strip. Unlike the concept, the production car has visible door handles.
The car shares technical components with the related Porsche Taycan. 40 percent of its parts are identical to those used in the Taycan, and the cars share the same platform. Just like the Taycan, it is a 4-door sedan despite the sporty coupé-style silhouette.
The vehicle was unveiled in 2021 IAA motor show.
Pre-order of European models began in mid-February 2021, and went on sale in 2021-05-03.
The fully electric driveline of the Audi e-tron GT is powered by a battery with 84 kWh of net capacity (93.4 kWh of gross capacity) as well as two electric motors providing all-wheel drive. The vehicle accelerates from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 4.1 seconds, reaches a top speed of 245 km/h (152 mph) and has a maximum sustained power output of 350 kW (469 hp), which can be temporarily boosted to 390 kW (523 hp).
The official EPA range of the vehicle on a single charge is 383 km (238 mi). In tests performed by the automotive website Edmunds, the car surpassed its EPA rating, achieving 439 km (273 mi).
The 93,4 kWh battery charges up to 100% in 450 minutes (AC 3-phase wall box/charging station 11.0 kW) and 80% in 29 minutes (DC charging station 135.0 kW).

Common Audi E-tron gt problems
The Audi e-tron GT is a luxury electric vehicle that has garnered attention for its performance and design. However, like any vehicle, it has its share of common problems that have been reported by owners.
One issue that has been reported is related to the car's build quality. Some owners have experienced small but concerning issues, such as a rubber trim strip coming unstuck and falling off, speaker grilles buzzing, and Matrix LED lights malfunctioning. These issues, while not necessarily safety concerns, may indicate a lack of attention to detail in the car's construction.
Another problem that has affected some e-tron GT owners is related to the car's electrical system. Specifically, there have been reports of the car's charging capabilities being affected by software glitches. Some owners have reported difficulty pairing their cars with the myAudi app, which is necessary for managing the car's charging.
Perhaps the most significant issue that has affected e-tron GT owners is related to the car's heater matrix. Hundreds of owners of both the e-tron GT and its sister car, the Porsche Taycan, have reported that their cars' heater matrix has failed, leaving them without heat in cold weather and unable to defrost their cars effectively. This issue has been attributed to a possible material defect and has affected a significant number of cars in the UK alone.
Finally, there have been two recalls related to the e-tron GT's high-voltage batteries. Over 1,000 vehicles have been recalled due to a risk of battery short circuits, which could potentially cause a fire. Owners have been advised to only charge their vehicles to 80% and to limit charges to this level until a fix is available.
In summary, while the Audi e-tron GT is a highly regarded luxury electric vehicle, it has its share of common problems. These include issues related to build quality, electrical systems, heater matrix failures, and battery recalls. Potential buyers should be aware of these issues and consider them when making their purchasing decision.

Vehicle year: 2022
The car is exceptional in every way desired for a sports sedan. Although the mileage range could be better, I don't think that's a major concern for most exotic car owners. Personally, I chose the Prestige model because of the amazing glass roof, which is not available on the RS.

I drove an Audi E-tron GT for over a year before switching to a Long Range 2024 Tesla Model 3. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a car that costs less than half as much could have such superior software and a much more user-friendly interface. The acceleration, performance and comfort are virtually identical, with the added bonus of 25% more battery range. This experience taught me a lot, and I saved tens of thousands of dollars!

During my 15-month lease of the Audi E Tron GT, I experienced multiple quality issues that required frequent visits to the Audi service department. Despite the high cost of the vehicle, I was disappointed with the number of problems that arose. As a result, I made the decision to terminate my lease early, despite the penalty. It is important for car manufacturers to ensure that their high-end vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
