We bought this car in late January, so we haven't put in as many miles as some other folks. However, I have a daily commute averaging 100 miles, so I believe I am qualified to write a review on this car by now :) To put it simply, if you're looking to purchase a nice, luxurious family car that is beautiful inside and out and gives excellent gas mileage, then you simply can't go wrong with this car. For context, we purchased the Ultra Premium Luxury package with the Mark Levinson audio system. While this car may not be the fastest luxury car out there (spend another $50,000 in change and get a Tesla Model S then), it is a phenomenal grand touring car, no question.

I've had my ES300h for just over a year and have driven 20K miles in it. Although I knew it wasn't the most powerful performance sedan when I bought it, it has exceeded my expectations. I use it to commute to work in traffic and occasionally take weekend trips with my family, and it has never let me down. The car is spacious, quiet (although not as quiet as my dad's LS), and incredibly comfortable. Plus, it gets great gas mileage for a luxury car (averaging 38 in the spring, summer, and fall, and 34-35 in the winter). The only downside is that the seats are slightly narrow, as some other reviewers have mentioned. I really like the mouse-like nav entertainment interface (although it did take some getting used to), and the dealership service is absolutely incredible.

My wife and I really enjoy riding and driving this car. The seats are incredibly supportive and comfortable, making long road trips a pleasure. The ride is smooth and the acceleration is powerful, making merging with traffic a breeze no matter the conditions. The cabin is also very quiet and there's plenty of room both in the front and rear. Although we are a bit disappointed with the mileage we've been getting, averaging 37-38 mpg for mixed city/highway driving, the car is still great overall and we would definitely buy it again!

Hey there! I've been driving this car for about three months now and I finally feel qualified to write a review. Coming from a BMW 525i 2005 model, I can say that overall it compares favorably. It may not be as sporty as a BMW, but it has some great features. Signature Lexus features such as heated/cooled seats, parking assist, side sensors, smart cruise control, voice command, GPS, etc. make it a great luxury option. As for the mileage, I'm getting 37 in the city and 42 on the highway for about 39-40 combined. If you want to take full advantage of the hybrid mileage, you need to learn how to drive this car for efficiency. Hope this helps!

We had never considered the purchase of a ES300h, and had planned to purchase a ES350 which we owned previously. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the price and value of the ES30h, so we decided to purchase the Hybrid. We have been extremely pleased with the excellent gas mileage and smooth and quiet ride. Overall, it is an excellent automobile!

The car was purchased in September 2013, after trading in the 2007 ES350. Upon starting the car and putting it in reverse, a noticeable thumping noise can be heard. This noise is also present when the car is in idle, such as when waiting at a traffic light, and it sounds like the battery is switching to gas. Despite driving the car in ECO mode, the advertised 39 to 40 mpg has not been achieved, with the car only averaging 30 mpg at an average speed of 29mph. The parchment interior is prone to getting dirty quickly, and the interior amenities are not as generous as those of the older ES350. Overall, while the car is satisfactory, it does not justify the premium price over the ES350.

I'd like to start by saying that I believe the issues I had with my brand new 2014 Lexus ES300H were due to a defective car, and not consistent with others. I simply have to assume this is the case. Unfortunately, I had two major issues that were never resolved, which forced me to break the lease and sell the car. The first issue was a large rattle that occurred when the car reached about 30 miles an hour, lasting a few seconds. I took it to the Santa Monica Lexus repair shop, and although they identified the issue as being the heat shield and repaired it, the problem returned. After two more visits, I decided to take it to another Lexus repair shop, who stated that the sound was 'normal' and therefore didn't want to repair it. The second problem had to do with the A/C, which emitted a mildew smell each time I started the car with the A/C already in the 'ON' position. I was told this was caused by a buildup of water in the engine area, which was also considered 'normal'. The advice was to turn the AC off before starting the car, which I found ridiculous for a brand new car. Due to these two issues and the terrible service, I decided to bite the bullet and get out of the lease, at a significant cost. Although I am happy to be rid of the car, I am disappointed with my experience and will not be purchasing a Lexus again.

Despite maintaining a reasonable speed of 65 mph and utilizing eco mode, the results were disappointing. This falls short of the expected standards and requires further attention.

I purchased this car with great satisfaction and enjoyed it thoroughly. However, I have recently experienced some issues with the hybrid system and engine, resulting in unexpected shutdowns while driving. Despite taking the car to the dealer and leaving it with them for a week, they were unable to identify the problem. Unfortunately, the issue persisted and I had to call for a tow truck. I am confident that the dealer will eventually identify and resolve the issue.
