You got it new in 1/98 and have put 125k miles on it. The alternator went out at 110k, and the A/C compressor went out at 113k. You recently replaced both coil packs and one sensor that was acting up, which directly affected the coil packs. Other than that, absolutely nothing has gone wrong. That's not too bad for 13 years and that many miles. It's a very, very, very dependable unit. The tires can be a bit of a pain to change if you have a flat. You've actually had to take a sledge-hammer to the inner-sides of the tire to bang them off rims, but other than that small annoyance, this thing has been absolutely great to deal with.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my truck that I bought back in '98. On the same day, my son also bought a single cab 4 cylinder Hombre. Unfortunately, he had to replace the transmission twice under warranty. Recently, I've been having some trouble with my truck as well. The 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON' light is on and it's throwing the same code - 0557, which is the manufacturer's transmission code. The dealership reset the computer twice before when this happened, but it seems like the issue is persisting. It's definitely not ideal as the truck is experiencing low power, and I mean really low. Have you experienced anything similar with your vehicle?
