Gmc Vandura problems
The Chevrolet Van or Chevy Van (also known as the Chevrolet/GMC G-series vans and GMC Vandura) is a range of vans that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1964 to 1996 model years. Introduced as the successor for the rear-engine Corvair Corvan/Greenbrier, the model line also replaced the panel van configuration of the Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was sold both in passenger van and cargo van configurations as well as a cutaway van chassis that served as the basis for a variety of custom applications.
Produced across three generations (1964–66, 1967–70, and 1970–96), the model line was sold under a wide variety of model names under both the Chevrolet and GMC brands. The first two generations were forward control vehicles (with the engine placed between the seats); the third generation adopted a configuration placing the engine forward of the driver. The second and third generations shared powertrain commonality with the C/K pickup truck model line.
After the 1996 model year, GM retired the G-Series vans, replacing them with the GMT600-platform Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana.

Common Gmc Vandura problems
The 1992 GMC Vandura is a popular model for those seeking a reliable work or recreational vehicle. However, like any vehicle, it has its share of common problems and issues that potential buyers should be aware of.
One of the most common issues with the 1992 GMC Vandura is related to the transmission. According to a post on Reddit, the transmission in a 1992 Vandura can start having problems around 260,000 miles, especially if the vehicle was driven conservatively. This issue may require a transmission replacement or rebuild, which can be expensive.
Another common problem with the 1992 GMC Vandura is related to engine issues. According to CarComplaints.com, the 1990 GMC Vandura 2500 has one reported problem with the engine, which is related to the vehicle not starting after it has been warmed up. This issue can be caused by a variety of factors, including a faulty ignition system or fuel system problems.
In addition to transmission and engine issues, the 1992 GMC Vandura can also suffer from electrical problems. For example, a user on CarGurus.ca reported that their Vandura had no power to the fuel injector, and the ignition switch just turned forward without cranking the engine. This issue may require a replacement of the ignition switch or a repair of the fuel injection system.
Other common problems with the 1992 GMC Vandura include issues with the fuel pump, ignition module, idle air control value, temperature sender, oil sender, ECM, throttle position sensor, plugs and wires, and alternator bracket. These issues can range from minor inconveniences to major repairs, depending on the severity of the problem.
In summary, the 1992 GMC Vandura is a reliable and popular vehicle, but it is not without its share of common problems and issues. Potential buyers should be aware of these issues and be prepared to address them if they arise. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent many of these issues from becoming major problems, and prompt repairs can help keep the vehicle running smoothly and reliably.
