Common Dodge D250 problems
Based on the complaints from owners of Dodge D250 cars, several common problems have been identified:
- Air Conditioning Not Cold:
- Complaints about the air conditioning not being cold suggest issues with the AC system, which could be due to refrigerant leaks, compressor problems, or issues with the cooling fans.
- Engine Oil Leaks:
- Engine oil leaks are a common problem in Dodge D250 cars, often stemming from issues like worn gaskets, seals, or oil pan damage. These leaks can lead to low oil levels, engine damage, and environmental pollution.
- Fuel Gauge May Not Read Correctly:
- Inaccurate fuel gauge readings can be caused by a faulty fuel level sensor, wiring issues, or a malfunctioning instrument cluster. This problem can lead to running out of fuel unexpectedly and potential engine damage.
- Flickering Engine Light:
- A flickering engine light is commonly linked to emissions problems or a loose gas cap. Addressing this issue promptly is crucial to prevent potential engine damage or performance issues.
- Leaking Oil:
- Oil leaks, especially from the valve cover gasket, are a common concern in Dodge Cummins diesel engines. If not fixed promptly, oil leaks can contaminate spark plugs and lead to significant engine damage.
- Stalled While Driving:
- Stalling while driving can be attributed to low oil levels or a lack of boost pressure in the turbocharger. Prompt diagnosis and repair are essential to avoid safety hazards and further engine damage.
- Jumping Wires with Fuses:
- Issues with jumping wires and fuses resembling a rat's nest can indicate electrical problems in the vehicle. Proper diagnosis and rewiring may be necessary to ensure the vehicle's electrical system functions correctly.
These common problems with Dodge D250 cars highlight the importance of regular maintenance, prompt repairs, and professional assistance to address issues effectively and prevent further damage or safety risks.

- Summary: ISSUES WITH TIRE FAILURES, WITH LT236X75R16 TIRE FAILURES ON THIS D250 AND W350 TRUCKS. KNOW OTHER INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND HAVE BEEN RIDING BEHIND THEM WHEN I WITNESSED SAID FAILURES OCCURR. BRANDS HAVE INCLUDED BUT NOT BEEN EXCLUSIVE TO GENERAL, CONTINENTAL, ETC. I HAVE BLOWN OR HAD TREAN PEEL OFF 5 TIRESIN THE PAST 6 YEARS WHILE ONE FRIEND HAS 6 SIMILAR OCCURRENCE IN THE PAST YEAR. RUBBER SEEMS TO BECOME BRITTLE AND SEPERATE FROM THE STEEL CORD. MAY BE RELATED TO A RUMOR THAT THE RUBBER COMPUNDS WERE ALTERED TO CAUSE TIRES TO "DRY ROT" AFTER SEVERAL YERAS SO NO SITTING IN JUNKYARDS FOREVER. OWN OVER 30 VEHICLES AND HAVE CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH CRACKING IN TREAD AND SIDEWALL AREAS ON ALL TIRES. BUT THE LT235X85R16 TIRES SEEM TO HAVE THE MOST CATASTROPHIC FAILURES PARTICULARLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS TO THE POINT I AM PULLING THEM OFF ALL THE VEHICLES THAT I CAN. ENVIROMENTALLY THIS CAUSES MORE WASTE IN OIL LOSS AND MANUFACTURING BYPRODUCT CREATION WHEN NEW TIRES MUST CONSTANTLY BE PURCHASED TO REPLACE DRY ROTTING TIRES WITH ALMOST NEW TREAD ON THEM!
