Cadillac Limousine problems
The United States presidential state car (nicknamed "the Beast", "Cadillac One", "First Car"; code named "Stagecoach") is the official state car of the president of the United States.
United States presidents embraced automotive technology in the early 20th century with President William Howard Taft's purchase of four cars and the conversion of the White House stables into a garage. Presidents rode in stock, unmodified cars until President Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration bought the Sunshine Special, the first presidential state car to be built to United States Secret Service standards. Until the assassination of John F. Kennedy, presidential state cars frequently allowed the president to ride uncovered and exposed to the public. President Kennedy's assassination began a progression of increasingly armored and sealed cars; the 2009–2018 state car had five-inch (130 mm) bulletproof glass and was hermetically sealed with its own environmental system. The current model of presidential state car is a unique Cadillac that debuted in September 2018.
Decommissioned presidential state cars are dismantled and destroyed with the assistance of the Secret Service to prevent their secrets from being known to outside parties. Late 20th-century and 21st-century presidential motorcades have consisted of 24–45 vehicles other than the presidential state car, including vehicles for security, healthcare, the press, and route-clearing, among others.

Common Cadillac Limousine problems
The Cadillac limousine is known for its luxurious features and smooth ride, but it also has some common problems that owners have reported. One of the most notorious engines in the history of Cadillac is the V8-6-4 engine, used in the 1982 Cadillac formal limousine. This engine was designed to offer better fuel efficiency by using cylinder deactivation technology, but it was plagued with problems and was only used for one year, except in the limousine, which it was the standard engine for a few more years. Owners have reported issues with the engine's reliability, with some experiencing complete engine failures. However, some owners have found that disabling the function helps improve the engine's performance.
Another common problem with the Cadillac limousine is related to the air conditioning system. In some cases, the rear AC doesn't blow as cold as the front AC, which can be a significant issue in hot weather. This problem is often caused by a switch problem, but it can be challenging to diagnose and fix without professional help.
The 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Executive Stretch Limo also has some common problems. One of the most significant issues is related to the glass partition, which works intermittently. It's unclear whether the problem is caused by a relay or the window motor, but it's easily accessed behind the front seat. The privacy divider, however, does work. Another issue with this model is the fuel pump, strainer, and in-line filter, which may need to be replaced. The front AC blows super cold, but the rear AC isn't quite as cold, which can be a significant issue in hot weather.
The 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood has a list of 15 known complaints reported by owners, but the specific issues are not mentioned in the search results. However, the 1994 model is part of the Fleetwood series, which is known for its luxurious features and smooth ride.
In summary, the Cadillac limousine is known for its luxurious features and smooth ride, but it also has some common problems that owners have reported. The V8-6-4 engine is notorious for its reliability issues, while the air conditioning system can be problematic, especially in hot weather. Cadillac Limousine 2001
- Date Of Incident: 2006-12-15
- Date Complaint: 2006-12-15
- VIN: 1G6KD54Y11U
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: PROBLEMS WITH ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BEGAN ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO WITH THE WIPERS TURNING ON BY THEMSELVES IN THE OFF POSITION FOLLOWED BY THE TRACTION LIGHT COMING ON AND STAYING ON FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE BARE AND WEATHER WAS AT 11 DEGREES CELSIUS. THESE PROBLEMS WERE NOT REPAIRED AS THE DIAGNOSTICS FAILED TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. TWO DAYS AGO, UPON TURNING ON THE IGNITION THE HEADLIGHTS CAME ON BY THEMSELVES IN THE OFF POSITION AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED FOUR TIMES AND THE PROBLEM WAS ALSO NOT CORRECTED AS THE MECHANICS COULD NOT DETECT THE PROBLEM WITH DIAGNOSTICS. I WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK WHEN THE PROBLEM PRESENTED ITSELF AGAIN. ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBERS DID WITNESS THE PROBLEM WITH THE HEADLIGHTS AS HE COULD NOT SHUT OFF THE HEADLIGHTS AS WELL UNTIL AFTER HE WAS FIDDLING AROUND WITH THE SWITCH. ONLY THEN WOULD THEY SHUT OFF. IN THE PAST, I HAD PROBLEMS WITH EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WITH THIS CAR AND BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DETECT WHERE THE OIL WAS GOING, I NOW BELIEVE IT MUST HAVE TRAVELED INTO THE ENGINE/ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO CAUSE THESE PROBLEMS. (NOTE: THERE WAS NO OIL DRIPPING ON THE GROUND). *JB
