Acura Zdx problems
The Acura ZDX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV with a sloping rear roofline developed by Honda for its upmarket brand Acura. The car was originally planned to be called the "MSX". The ZDX debuted at the 2009 New York International Auto Show on April 8, 2009, as a 2010 model. The vehicle was also the first to be completely designed at Acura's southern California design studio in Torrance.
The original ZDX concept was penned by Michelle Christensen who labeled it a "4-door luxury sports coupe" and which Acura says "blurs the distinction between coupe, sedan and sport utility vehicle."
The ZDX features Acura's first six speed automatic transmission, advanced ventilated seats, as well as other luxury appointments. Although the ZDX shares a similar profile with the Honda Crosstour, the two vehicles are not mechanically related: the latter is based on the Honda Accord, while the ZDX is based on the Honda Pilot/Acura MDX.
On August 19, 2022, it was announced that the ZDX nameplate would return to Acura's lineup in 2024 for the brand's first electric vehicle. The new ZDX will be co-developed with General Motors.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life
The ZDX will use GM's Ultium battery technology and will be fitted with the same 102.0-kWh battery pack as the Lyriq. That battery is said to provide up to 325 miles of driving range in the A-Spec trim, but the Type S's range is lower at just 288 miles per charge.
Why did Acura discontinue the ZDX?
The ZDX was discontinued after the 2013 model year due to poor sales, and in a statement from Honda, "as the Acura brand sharpens its focus on new models and core products." The ZDX was the rarest of U.S. manufactured Acura offerings, with a total of 7,191 vehicles produced and sold in North America.

AT ANY SPEED GOING OVER BUMPS THE CAR MAKE CLUNKY SOUNDS FRONT AND REAR AND FEELS BOATY, LESS STABLE. THE CONDITION WAS HAPPENING SINCE WINTER, 3 OF 4 STRUTS ARE BLOWN. This car is fantastic! The exterior is beautifully sculpted, the performance drivetrain is impressive, and the ergonomic interior is just perfect. After driving Lexus crossovers (RX300, 330, and 400h) for 10 years, I was looking for something that would give me a more engaging driving experience. And boy, did I find it! This car is an absolute joy to drive, especially when I'm taking on descending radius ramps or merging into traffic. Even during my daily commute, the ELS stereo system produces sound that is far superior to the Mark Levinson systems from the Lexus RX. The only downside is the mileage, which is a bit lower than I expected at just over 16mpg. Overall, this car is truly amazing!

Reviewer's mindset: I had the pleasure of driving both the ZDX and RDX, and while the ZDX is undeniably luxurious and stylish, I found myself missing the agility and fun of my RDX after just two weeks. The ZDX is certainly a hot rod in sport mode, but lacks the thrilling surge of the RDX. While the ZDX handles curves with ease, my RDX requires a bit more effort, making it feel more agile and enjoyable to drive. The ZDX is incredibly comfortable, but taller passengers may find it a bit cramped in the back. Additionally, the ZDX's driver side blind spot and dimensions require extra attention when driving. Overall, while I enjoyed cruising in luxury, I ultimately missed the excitement of my RDX. Although I had high hopes for the ZDX, I am grateful it was only a two week loaner.

We recently purchased this car as a family of four and we couldn't be happier! The online photos don't do it justice. The sound system is amazing and the technology package is incredible. The ride is smooth and quiet, and we've noticed heads turning as we drive into shopping centers and on the highways. If you want a car that gets you noticed, this is definitely the one to buy. Our two kids love the attention they get when we pick them up from school! They adore the dual DVD player and game system that was installed and constantly ask us to take them for a ride. Acura has really outdone themselves this time! It looks and feels great.

Just wanted to share that I recently purchased a 2012 ZDX w/Advanced Package and I absolutely love it! Surprisingly, it was still available at the Acura Dealer when I bought it brand new. I feel lucky to have found such a great car!

This car is agile when changing lanes, but it tends to roll and understeer in sustained curves. I believe this is due to the ZDX's high center of gravity, which may be exacerbated by its heavy all-glass roof. The throttle response is poor, with a lot of lag, and there is no steering feedback. It's important to keep your eyes on the road! On the other hand, the build quality is excellent, and the interior cabin is quiet. However, the rear seating is too cramped for most adults, except for short trips. Even in the driver's seat, my head often brushes the roof. In my opinion, the driver controls are overly complicated and potentially dangerous. Overall, I find the ZDX to be mediocre in terms of fun to drive.
