I think this is a truly fantastic little car. The handling is wonderful and the 6-speed shifts acceptably quick, if not lightning fast. The engine, while not having tons of power, is rev happy and with the light weight, it is very quick. Although some negative comments have been written regarding the style, I personally like it, and most people who see it like it too. It turns heads wherever I go, and someone is always checking it out when I come out of a store. So far, the fuel mileage has been over 34 highway miles per gallon. It's a really nice car!! Well done, Toyota!!

If you love driving and don't want to spend a fortune on a Porsche, this is the car for you. It handles like a dream, so much so that it may take a little time to get used to if you're not accustomed to high-performance mid-engine coupes. I know a couple of people who use these cars just for the track as a sprint car, that's how well they handle.

This car is so much fun to drive! It handles superbly and people always comment on its excellent looks. While it may not be the best choice for a commuter car due to its limited space and stiff ride, it's definitely worth it for those beautiful, sunny days. It's a shame that Toyota no longer produces this vehicle, but I'm glad they didn't market it too heavily. You don't see them at every stop light, which makes it even more special. This isn't my daily car, I have a Camry. However, the MR2 is an awesome car with great handling, stopping power, and gas mileage. Even with spirited driving, it still gets an average of 31 mpg. I have a bit of a problem when I drive it because my wife or 6-year-old son always want to ride in it. Do they make a three-seater? Just kidding. The MR2 also seals great - even in the torrential Florida rain, this car does not leak. I have two other relatives who own Miatas, and they both said all convertibles leak until I proved them wrong with my Toyota. Plus, the MR2 has a much stiffer chassis with less twitching and no rattles, making it better than Miatas.

Your Spyder is a great looking, awesome handling, head turning machine. However, it lacks the power needed to keep up with the rest of the performance market. I understand that you have owned your Spyder since Jan of 01, but recently got rid of it because of reliability issues that a lot of people were having. Unfortunately, these issues were not small ones, but major engine failures. The oil control rings are poorly designed/machined, which leads to oil being burned and the catalytic converters frying. After driving over 35000 miles, it seems like my car has been experiencing some issues. The power steering and suspension have gone bad, and there are some rattles in the soft top, body, and exhaust system.
