The MR2 may have a 4 cylinder engine, but it's amazing how similar the handling is to the Porsche's 6 cylinder engines. It's definitely a lower priced 2-seater sports car that's worth considering. It's a shame that Toyota stopped producing this little gem in 2005. I completely agree with you that a turbo or super-charged version of this 2-seater convertible would be amazing! During the bad winter weather, it's great that you take care of your little guy by keeping it garaged and warm on a smart-charger.

I absolutely adore my car! Despite being in a pretty serious accident where I went under an 18 wheeler at 70 mph, I'm here today to tell the tale thanks to the amazing handling ability and rear wheel drive of my car. Even with the front passenger wheel torn off, I was able to pull the car out at 70 mph! The MR2's performance and handling in a situation like this is truly outstanding. After spending over $10,000 and waiting for 2 months, my car now looks and runs better than new. Toyota should be incredibly proud of creating such a safe and reliable MR2 Spider! Thank you so much.

The car is really fun to drive! However, I do think that for the price, it could have a bit more horsepower. Additionally, the sound system is just okay with only four speakers. But overall, everything else is alright.

I purchased my Spyder back in December 2007 with 8,666 miles on it. I had actually looked at a Spyder a few years prior, but at the time, I was hesitant to buy it because it didn't have a trunk. I was surprised to learn that a car could be without a trunk. However, being single, I decided to buy what I wanted and not worry about pleasing anyone else. I simply put my groceries in the passenger seat. Not only is this car fun, but it's also more economical than a Miata since it uses regular unleaded gas. During the summer, I average about 28.5 mpg, and about 27 in the winter. Additionally, this car handles well in the snow with snow tires.

After driving over 35000 miles, it seems like my car has been experiencing some issues. The power steering and suspension have gone bad, and there are some rattles in the soft top, body, and exhaust system. Additionally, some small hardware parts have broken and the rear brakes have gone out. Unfortunately, it took a few weeks to get the necessary parts as they were not in stock.
