Nissan 240sx problems

The Nissan 240SX is a sports compact car that was introduced to the North American market by Nissan in 1989 for the 1990 model year. It replaced the outgoing 200SX (S12) model. Most of the 240SXs were equipped with the 2.4-liter inline 4 engine (KA24E from 1989 to 1990 and KA24DE from 1990 to 1998). The KA24E had single overhead cams and the KA24DE had dual overhead cams. Two distinct generations of the 240SX, the S13 (1989–1994) the S14 (1994-1998) were produced, based on the Nissan S platform.
The 240SX is closely related to other S platform based vehicles, such as the Japanese-market Silvia and 180SX, and the European-market 200SX. Although their names are similar, the 240SX is unrelated to the 240Z or the 280ZX.
The 240SX is known for its popularity within drifting and tuner culture. However, due to the popularity of the S-chassis in drifting and related competitions, prices for vehicles and parts have greatly increased due to higher demand. This problem is sometimes known as "drift tax".

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my car. I bought it brand new 14 years ago and it has been such a reliable vehicle for me. Even after driving it for 141,000 miles, it still runs like a dream! I've only had to replace the tires and add oil and gas, and it's never even needed a tune up. Plus, it gets an average of 27 mpg, which is even better than the 22 mpg rating. I drive it every day in all kinds of weather here in Colorado, and it's been amazing. I just love driving it! It's definitely the best vehicle I've ever owned.

I had a 95' 240SX SE for about two years and I regret selling it. It was a fast and quick car even though it was completely stock. During winter, I put some Blizzak tires on it and I never got stuck in the snow. The gauge display was really cool and the stock stereo had good sound. However, it was only a two-seater. If you're parking, be careful with the front spoiler as it gives limited ground clearance and can easily be scraped on curbs. It requires premium gas to run well, but it's worth it. Overall, it was a perfect car for a single guy to cruise around in and it got great gas mileage.

Hey there! I'm so excited to share my experience with my new car. It's truly amazing! The car looks great, feels great, and sounds great. I've only had it for a few days and I'm already looking for ways to make it even better. As a big fan of the import scene, I'm currently browsing the internet for some cool bodykits to really make my car stand out. With the right aftermarket performance parts, I can even boost the horsepower and torque to make it a real powerhouse on the road. I bet you're interested in the 240sx now too!

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share some information about my car with you. I purchased it on April 30th, 2005 for $4,500 when it had 94,300 miles on it. Since then, I've put on about 1,400 miles and made a few modifications, including installing an Injen CAI and removing the exhaust resonator. Unfortunately, I'll need to replace the clutch soon, but other than that, everything is still in great shape. It's hard to believe that this car is 12 years old already, but I plan on keeping it for a long time to come!

Great car! It's a shame the motor went at 155K, but overall it seems like a well-made vehicle. I really wish Nissan had continued the 240sx/silvia line past 99' with the S15 and made it available in the US.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my black 240. I've had it for about 13 months now and have put 16,000 miles on it. So far, I've had to replace the starter, water pump, 2 rear brake calipers, 4 tires, and 4 brake rotors. Despite these repairs, the motor is running smoothly and quietly. I believe this car has a 5-speed and will last for another 100,000 miles. Thanks for reading!

This car is really fun to drive! Although the back seat is a bit tight for passengers, it's able to haul quite a bit with the back seat down. Unfortunately, we started to experience some mechanical problems once the car hit 120,000 miles, so we've decided to give it up as it's starting to eat too much into our wallet.

Hi there! I bought this car used as a daily commuter and it has been great! I've put an additional 98000 miles on it since it had 78000 miles and only had one break down due to a flat tire.

I hope you're doing well! I noticed that you've had this car for almost a year now, and it's been in the family since it was brand new. Despite being wrecked 4 times, including 2 major accidents by previous family members, it still runs great! I was recently forced into a curb at 50 mph, but I was still able to drive the car around town. It's definitely a tough car that can take a beating. However, I did notice that the fuel injectors can be a bit of a hindrance, as I have to replace one at least every 2 months.

Hey, I love the car so far. It's impressive how it gets up and goes, despite being a 4 cyl. and automatic. The smoothness of the drive is remarkable, even though it sits low to the ground. However, I am currently experiencing an issue with the radio.
