Common Gmc Blazer problems
The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV has been plagued with problems, with 23 different issues reported after just two months of ownership. These problems range from communication issues with various control modules to faulty sensors and malfunctioning infotainment systems. The car has been at the dealership for two weeks, and despite the efforts of two experts from GM and a technician from another dealership, a resolution is still not in sight.
The problems with the Blazer EV are not limited to the 2024 model year. The 2023 model has also been criticized for its reliability, with owners reporting issues with brakes, transmission, engine, and electrical systems. The brakes, in particular, have been a point of concern, with reports of premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system issues, and even brake failure.
In response to the software issues reported by some customers, GM has paused sales of the Chevy Blazer EV and is working on a software update to resolve the problem. The software issues are not safety-related and are not related to the Ultium propulsion system or Google Built-In. However, the pause in sales is a setback for the Blazer EV, which was launched just a few weeks ago as a mass-market SUV and an integral part of GM's electric lineup.
The Chevy Blazer has a history of engine problems, with the 1994 model year being the worst.
In conclusion, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV has been plagued with problems since its launch, with software being the primary source of complaints. The 2023 model year has also been criticized for its reliability, with owners reporting issues with brakes, transmission, engine, and electrical systems. GM has paused sales of the Blazer EV and is working on a software update to resolve the problem. However, the pause in sales is a setback for the Blazer EV, which was launched just a few weeks ago as a mass-market SUV and an integral part of GM's electric lineup.
