M. Collard, 1980 Hot Rod World Champion

Scalextric puts on the track the Ford Escort MkII at 1:32 scale of a British short oval legend, Mick “Duffy” Collard. A fast driver and above all an expert in driving sideways. The Castrol-sponsored Escort MkII was showy on oval tracks, but it was for the driving style that Collard transferred to it.

Collar won the 1980 Hot Rod World Championship in tough battles with Barry Lee's Escort and Ormond Christie's Colt.

Scalextric is now putting this 1980 Hot Rod on sale, opening the door to possible new versions of this specialty.
