Ferrari 126C2 / POLICAR
D.Pironi, Long Beach, 1982 USA F1 GP
Ferrari appeared on the urban circuit of Long Beach in California, to enter the third race of the 1982 season of the Formula 1 World Championship, with the Ferrari 126C2 equipped with an innovative rear wing. A wing of two different planes that after the race was declared illegal by the stewards. A penalty that cost the third place achieved by Gilles Villeneuve. The second Ferrari 126C2, the one driven by Didier Pironi, was not disqualified as he spun off on lap six.
